In terms of volunteer commitments, our Task Force is in need of assistance on a variety of tasks and commitment levels:
*policy researchers: Assist with research into already standing genocide/Holocaust education laws in various states. This will involve becoming familiar with the legislation through internet and telephone (calling legislative assistants of state lawmakers) research.
*state coalition leaders (or, at a lesser commitment level, coalition builders): Help coordinate state coalitions (of college and HS STAND chapters, Armenian groups, Jewish groups, education groups) for lobbying and implementation efforts.
*regional coordinators: continuously check up with coalition leaders within a region to see how state campaigns are going
*website building: Somebody with good website building skills to hopefully help us put together a website like the Sudan Divestment Task Force has ( www.sudandivestment.org)
Thanks for passing this information along to your STAND chapters!
