Our first meetIng will be held TOMORROW, Tuesday September 12TH, in Marvin Center room 310 at 9 pm.

Please come by and learn a bout what's been happening this summer in Darfur.   Also learn about our exciting upcoming projects this fall and see how you can get involved.  We are looking for new leaders for STAND, so please let us know if you're interested.

September 17th-  Voices Against Genocide: Save Darfur Now!
Come to the Save Darfur Rally in New York City
Need Transportation?  Buses will leave (from a location TBD, but between here and Georgetown) at 8am and begin their return from New York at 6pm.  They will be $25 for students.  If you would like to come on the bus, e-mail Micaela at
Micaela@... with your name, e-mail and cell number, and look for updates in your e-mail about the bus departure location!

Sept 15 8:30 pm All About Darfur (Sudan, UK/2005/82 min) In Arabic and English with English subtitles. Citizens of Sudan address the issue of how deeply-rooted prejudices have resulted in ethnic violence in their country. Directed by Taghreed Elsanhouri. Followed by a discussion with John Prendergast, International Crisis Group, Gayle Smith, Center for American Progress, and other panelists. Project HEALTH is having two info sessions for interested students this week:
Monday Sept. 11 in Funger 222 at 8pm
Tuesday Sept. 12 in Funger 221 at 8pm

Project HEALTH is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the link between poverty and poor health in the United States. You all are making an awesome and positive impact on the state of affairs in Sudan, and your work is so admirable. Project HEALTH hopes to have more students like you all, with a global conscience, contribute to our effort at home to improve underprivileged families' lives.
