Hey everyone!

I hope you all had a good break. We have a lot planned
for this semester with GW STAND and we need your help
in putting events together, attending, and making our
efforts a success.

We will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, January 19 at
8 pm on the Marvin Center 4th floor couches. If you
are unable to come we will be sending out an email
with details from the meeting and what you can do to
help.

Some of the first events will be having this semester
are a trip to see the movie Hotel Rwanda and in early
February Jerry Fowler will be speaking on campus.

The first weekend of February is a national conference
on Darfur which we will be helping with so if anyone
is able to host students please let us know asap and
how many students you can house. This weekend (5-6th)
should be very insightful and give you an opportunity
to hear some incredible speakers, meet other students
working for the same cause, and possibly help with
jobs/internships.
