Hi!

My name is Marissa Levendis, I am an undergraduate at Yale in New
Haven, CT. I got your e-mail from George Washington's student
activities website as being involved with GW Students Taking Action Now:
Darfur. I am involved with an organization called SNAP (Students for a
New American Politics) (which is a brand new organization) which is
currently organizing a conference to bring progressive activists
from all the schools across the East Coast together to create a
national platform of action around the issues we all care about and a
national network for future coordination. I've attached the
description of the conference which explains what we hope to have
happen at the conference and what we will accomplish. I hope that this
is something in which STAND might be interested in participating.
It should be a really great opportunity to start the process of
creating a really effective, unified student activist community and
eventually, a significantly more progressive society (which we need so
badly!).

The conference will be held on Saturday, April 16 from 9am - 10pm at
Yale University. We will provide housing for all attendees for Friday
and Saturday night and food on Saturday. A registration form is
attached to this e-mail. We would love to have as many students from
as many groups as are interested to attend so that we can really get a
diverse range of ideas about a diverse range of issues at the
conference. Please let me know if you have any questions at all.

Sincerely,
Marissa
