It is a rare thing that a band's debut-album reaches cult-status
almost immediately - for Cinema Strange obviously an easy exercise
with their self-titled CD "Cinema Strange". The three boys from
California came in like a breath of fresh air to the musical
landscape, following the paths of the Batcave-style by adding a
modern touch to it. Tracks like "Lindsay's Trachea" or the giant
hit "En Hiver" quickly became part of the standard play-list of many
sombre dance-temples. Celebrated live-performances in the "Old
World" and often surprisingly staged interviews proved their claim
of being truly creative artists.

In the year 2002, Cinema Strange caused quite a stir with their
second album, entitled "The Astonished eyes Of Evening". The German
ORKUS-magazine nominated the CD album of the month in their February-
issue, as it revealed an enormous and rather unexpected development,
yet without forgetting the stylistic device which made them
famous. "The Astonished eyes Of Evening" is varied, complex,
seemingly fragile as it is powerful at the same time, lives on
surprises and refined song-structures, in short: Batcave on the
highest level!
