That is very sad(and I agree with the way you feel.); and it is the reason why
Halloween is going downhill very fast(as oppsed to the capitalist holiday known
as Christmas). As a matter-of-fact the reasoning behind our Yahoo group; 1313
Fear Drive(created over 3 years ago)--which has now become an official website
offering its own e-mails(i.e. http://www.1313FearDrive.com )-- was that we were
going to try to bring Halloween back to the way it was. Sadly, it seems that
people are insistent on being corny, overly competitive, and just plain
disagreeable about any and everything.
I have even had people claim they "are not going to join" the website; obviously
wrongly thinking that such petty b.s. would stop our mission(i.e. To make
Halloween great again.). They fail to see--as the people in the article
does--that they are not making things bad for us, but instead making themselves
seem like a bunch of bitter, old buzzards. Halloween is about networking, fun,
and enjoyment with friends, family, etc. It is also about being able to put a
good scare into people and afterwards laugh about it. The world today is full of
too many politics; and the radical morons behind these politics are spoiling the
fun for everyone.

Goes to show you, try and do something nice for a neighborhood and
all it takes is a few new snotty neighbors to muck it up. The

Don't you just want to smack people like that and say, "If you don't
like it, don't go see it you stupid b**tch"...sorry, but this pisses
me off..
PHOENIX (AP) -- A Scottsdale man was convicted Monday of disturbing
the peace and generating unreasonable noise by a municipal judge who
found the man's home Halloween display was too loud and too scary.
Chris Birkett faces a sentence of as much as six months in jail and
a fine of up to $2,500, The Arizona Republic reported on its Web
site Monday.
Birkett, 29, a deejay and the owner of an entertainment company,
also put up a Christmas "Winter Wonderland" display, but that was
not part of the court case.
Birkett's displays attract thousands of visitors annually, but new
neighbors complained to Scottsdale prosecutors that the sound and
lights prevented their children from going to sleep at a reasonable
time.
