Thinking Back   Message List

Hi;
I was just thinking back to when I was a kid. On the next block up
was the neighborhood haunted house. It was a spanish style, painted an
orange with glitter in the paint and ivy all over the walls. A matching
stone fence went around topped with black iron spikes like Gomez Addams
sharpened in the opening of the Addams family tv show. It had a big
yard with a helacopter on the side. In the back was a two story garage
that was stone on the bottom and wood on the top. The top had two large
doors that opened onto the alley and hanging from it was a belt that
had the end covered in RED! We were sure they had tryed to kill someone
and they tryed to get away out the big doors only to be caught by their
mean german shepherd. Years later we we invited in and learned that he
was a glass blower and they owned a monkey. Today the windows have been
replaced and the black spikes are gone for safty. The ivy's not there
either and the once haunted house is just a regular home for a new
generation but I like to think back on how it was when the belt scared
a group of little girls who neve dared to visit the house on Halloween.
Do any of you have storys of your own Haunted neighboorhood houses?
