Kunnakkudi M. Balamuralikrishna won recognition as a young genius at the age of 10, and has been giving Carnatic music concerts since then for the past 14 years, enthralling audiences around the world. He has been trained in vocal music by P.S. Narayanaswami and in mridangam by Karaikkudi Mani. The accompanying musicians are prominent senior performers in Carnatic music. They have performed with all the leading musicians in the field, released numerous commercial recordings, and have frequently performed on many tours outside India.

Sunanda Nair is a prominent performer, choreographer and teacher in several styles of Indian classical dance -- Bharatanatyam, Mohiniattam, and Kathakali. Trained in Mumbai under the famous Smt. Kanak Rele and now settled in Houston, she has created a number of original productions, trained many students, and performed extensively in India and the U.S. for three decades. Vaibhav Arekar is an intense dancer, choreographer, and teacher of Bharatanatyam from Mumbai, and a prolific performer who has attracted excellent reviews through many innovative productions. Uvika Anand specializes in both Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam like her teacher Sunanda Nair. She is pursuing a full-time career in dance in Mumbai, India, and has received numerous awards and scholarships. Mandira Lahiri is the foremost performer in the Lucknow tradition of North Indian Classical (Hindustani) vocal music. She is the disciple of Pandit Chinmoy Lahiri, the teacher of outstanding performers like Begum Parveen Sultana. She is among highest ranked artists in Hindustani khayal singing, as well as light classical forms such as Thumri, Dadra, Ghazals, Bhajans etc., and is a prolific performer in prestigious concert halls, radio and television. Mandira is gifted with a sonorous voice that easily traverses three octaves, and she has used this to full advantage in satisfying both scholars and lay audiences, with the perfect blend of technique and emotional rendering. She has travelled to the US and Europe on several performance tours.

Subhajyoti Guha is among the most famous and prolific young tabla artists today. He is the disciple of Pandit Sankha Chatterjee, who blended two traditions learnt under two great masters Ustad Keramatullah Khan and Ustad Alla Rakha. He has performed with all the prominent vocalists and instrumentalists in Hindustani music today, and frequently travels around the world on performance tours.

Sri Ganesha Temple in Nashville, TN�has made arrangements �for�emergency shelter for�up to 30 days till end of May as needed for families from our community affected by the recent�flood. Breakfast & supper will also be provided as needed.Hopefully this will give them some privacy to regroup to deal with other challenges ahead in dealing with the aftermath of the disaster.

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in performing arts from the University of Hyderabad, India, under the guidance of Dr. Anuradha Jonnalagadda, who herself is a student of the famed maestro Padmabhushan Vempati Chinna Satyam. Hima Bindu has been a student of this art form for over 23 years. She continuously strives to modernize this classical art form through choreographic experiments and themes of relevance to modern times. credit, such as with the famous Greek musicians Petrolukas Chalkias
and Ross Dally, and contributions to several Indian and Hollywood
films. He has performed in many celebrated venues around the world,
including the Royal Festival Hall with John McLaughlin and Hariprasad
Chaurasia, and in the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo with
Shivkumar Sharma and Hariprasad Chaurasia. He has performed his
latest creation "Sacred Drums of India" in several music festivals
around the world.

Preetha Sayeekrishna is a disciple of the famous dancers, teachers
and choreographers, M.V. Narasimhachari and M. Vasanthalakshmi. She
is a graded artist on Indian television, and the first prize winner
in the television program "Takadimita" in 2001. She has given
numerous solo and dance drama performances in India and the U.S., and
has been teaching Bharatanatyam in the Atlanta area for the past eight years.
Suhasini Muthukrishnan is a graduate of Kalakshetra, and a disciple
of the famous dancer, teacher and choreographer, C. V. Chandrashekar.
At Kalakshetra, she was also trained by several other well known
teachers. She is a graded artist on Indian television, and has toured
India, US, Canada, Africa and the Middle East with prominent dance
drama productions. Her own choreographic productions have received
critical acclaim and awards in India. She is currently a resident of Atlanta.

The curriculum for this grade level is Mahabharata, and the lesson plan and books will be provided to you. The other teachers are always happy to provide any assistance that you may need.
