History of Europe

The History of Europe began very early, ealier than was previously believed. When the Ice Age melted much of civilised Europe was drowned beneath new seas which the survivors had to name. Europe is dominated by its mountains, mostly Alpine, the rest being rather flat. If you take a broad view the History of Europe is rather straightforward, but you can make it as complex as you like by studying or learning to read. There is Old Europe and New Europe but I can't tell the difference. The French are universally famous for their cheeses, the Spanish for oranges, the Portuguese for Port, the Belgians for chocolates, the Swiss for chocolates, the Austrians for playing cards, the Germans for going on holiday, the Danish for pastry, the Norwegians for burning down churches, the Swedes for safety, the Finns for mobile phones, the Poles for cheap vodka, the Italians for design, the Czechs for their film industry, the Slovaks for their key rings, the Slovenians for their ski slopes.
