Hi Everyone.
It looks like Yahoo have finished the updates and takeover of
Onelists's group. Although it's a new address, it's still the same
newsletter :-)

Stephen King has also decided to try something new - He has adapted
yet another story for the screen. Not a new thing you say? Well this
time it's a story from another author! Stephen King has adapted
Patrick McGrath's novel "Asylum" for Paramount Pictures.
It's an interesting story that has the wife of an English insane
asylum's superintendent falling in love with one of the patients, a
murderer.
You can get the original book from here:

Thanks for Desiree Coulter for the following:
Sylvester Stallone looks set to play the bad guy opposite Kevin Bacon
in an adaptation of the Stephen King short story "Dolan's Cadillac,"
the Popcorn.com movie news website reports.
The story concerns a woman who witnesses a mob murder and is in turn
murdered to protect a crime boss, to be played by Stallone. Bacon is
in talks to play the dead woman's husband, who seeks revenge from the
mob kingpin.
Bacon enjoyed a recent box-office breakthrough of sorts with "Hollow
Man," although Stallone has suffered a series of career setbacks,
most recently a poorly performing remake of "Get Carter."

While stumbling around Stephen King's site yet again, I noticed that
they have placed the income and expense report on The Plant online!
King made a modest profit of $463,832.27 so far from The Plant, which
is quite good from a story that is not yet finished. Let's hope that
when he completes the story in a few years that he also decides to
place them on the website as well.

Cemetery Dance have finally given a firm date for The Stephen King
Universe, a book about King by Stanley Wiater & Christopher Golden
with Hank Wagner. Initially this was to be printed about 12 months
ago, then late last year. Now printing is set for March this year.
I'm not sure how many of the books are left, but the book is
available in two types -
Slipcased Limited Edition of 1,000 signed and numbered copies for
US$75
Traycased Lettered Edition of 52 signed and lettered copies for US$350
I personally ordered the Slipcased version, so I'll let you all know
about it when it arrives.

Stephen King's Paranoid has been made into a movie, but the new news
is that the film has been completed. The delay in the release of the
film has been caused by 2 pieces of music used in the initial film's
version being used before permission was completed. The cost of one
of the pieces was 15 times the completed film's budget, and the other
was 25 times the completed film's budget!
The website, only a little over 2 months old now, has some
interesting new news:
February 9, 2001
At our two month anniversary online, the official website for Stephen
King's Paranoid has logged over 3500 hits from 45 different countries
around the world and more than 1100 downloads of the trailer. Thanks
to everyone who has written in with wonderful comments, and thanks
for your patience while we finalize the film's music.

An exclusive interview with actress Tonya Ivey is now accessable
through the About the Filmmaker's page.
