Hello members,
Firstly let me welcome you all to this list. For those of you that do
not know me, my name is David Rawsthorne, I am 32, and Live in
Australia. Horrorking.Com is the culmination of about 4 years of my
personal research into Stephen King and his work.
The main focus of this list will be to let you know of updates to the
Horrorking.Com website, and for any important Stephen King related
news and information.
In the last few days there have been many small changes at
Horrorking.Com, mainly to do with errors in various books of Kings.
A great error pickup from K Davis in the movie version of The Stand
has been added to the movie errors page.
Also one from Joseph Argo in the book version of The Long Walk.
Brion Woods found an interesting Time problem in Salems Lot while
Carol found another great inconsistancy between The Waste Lands and
The Drawing of the 3.
I have also updated character lists for Weeds, Night Shift, The
Plant, Everything's Eventual, The Aftermath, Sword in the darkness,
Blaze, Before the play, The New Lieutennant's Rap, The Revelations of
'Becka Paulson, The Leprechaun, and The Dark Tower 1 and The Dark
Tower 2. These have included better story descriptions, and
descriptions for all the characters.
Thanks to some information from Coinneach Fitzpatrick, I have
modified an error I had on the Dark Tower III, when I stated that
Ruger has never made a 44 calibre pistol/gun. Alas they did (the
Blackhawk and Redhawk series), but they never made a .44 automatic
pistol, which is what Jake Chambers took back into Roland's world.
Also as part of this email from Coinneach, another error was found in
DT4, where Roland draws and fires a gun with his right hand - the one
he lost 2 fingers on, and another where he "thumbs back the
trigger"... (I'm wondering just HOW he was holding the gun? :-)
I do not expect to send more than about one email per month, so this
is not a high volume list. If you are after the latest King news and
information in email form, may I suggest visiting Brian Freeman's
excelent site and signing up for his email updates. The address is
http://www.stephenkingnews.com/ and is well worth a visit for all
Stephen King fans.
Please feel free to email me about any aspects of King's work,
especially the Dark Tower, and Flagg - I am currently working on a
new page at Horrorking about Flagg, and his appearances in various
works, and would love any reader input.
David
