Hi everyone,

Stephen King has just purchased a home at 1600 N. Casey Key Road in
Palmer's Northerly Subdivision of Park of Casey Key. King paid a
reported $8.9 million for the property.

You can read the full report at the link below (You may have to cut
and paste this into your browser due to the length)

date=050801&story=tp2ew6.htm

This article has a picture of the house:

From King's website: No decision has been made yet about a winner of
the writing exercise outlined in On Writing. We are still going
through all of the entries and do not expect to pick a winner until
this Fall.

Also from King's Website: Although a film titled Insomnia starring Al
Pacino is currently in production, it is not based on Stephen's book
of the same name.

---

Some of you will have noticed that the links to Riding the bullet &
other 'online' books have been removed. This is because Softlook has
ceased its online commerce operations.

I'm not that happy this has mainly because I'm still owed quite a few
$ from them, so if anyone has ideas for other King related material
to fill in the spaces left, then please email me.

Mick Garris has commented on the upcoming 'The Talisman' mini-
series: "Yes, TALISMAN is real. The deal was just made. It's with
DreamWorks, Kennedy-Marshall, and ABC. Don't know when, since the
strikes might happen, but I'm about to begin the script, working from
the feature draft by Richard LaGravenese. No cast yet."

Sounds interesting...

That's in for this newsletter. Dont forget to let me know if you hear
any interesting King info.

Regards
David
