Hello everyone,
There has been no newsletter for a while due to my winter holidays -
Since most people in the list are located in the USA, you are
probably saying winter??? Well, yes it is winter down here in
Australia, at least for the next couple of days. We had a bit of
snow, so we decided to spend a while up the coast to 'thaw out'.

Black House
Only a few weeks now till Black House arrives, and many bookstores
around the globe expect the book early, but some will not be selling
it until the expected release date.
Black House has it's website up and operational now at
http://www.blackhousebook.com There is some great information on the
site, including a short excerpt, a map of the area and even more.
It's well worth a detailed look, expecially the windows wallpapers!
For an audio excerpt read by Frank Muller (a little over 6 minutes),
you can go to
http://randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=0739300105
and while you are at it, you can get a longer version of the excerpt
at
http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?
isbn=0375504397&view=excerpt
There is an excellent review of Black House now on Amazon.Com as
well.

them into your browser.
Lilja, of Lilja's library (http://www.liljas-library.dot.nu) mentions
an excellent interview with Peter Straub about Black House on the
Publishers Weekly site. You have to register to read it, but
registration is free.

Random House has also mentioned that there will be an "enhanced e-
book" version of Black House, with "never-before-seen notes from the
authors and editor". Looks like we may have to buy both version this
time around!

Dark Tower 5
The Prologue to the Dark Tower 5 is online! Available on the official
Stephen King Website, this .pdf file makes interesting reading.
http://www.stephenking.com
We know that king has completed more than 50 pages of the Dark Tower
5 so far, but one interesting thing is that the original working
title - The Crawling Shadow - looks like being dumped for a different
final title.

The Firestarter miniseries has a new title. Previously it was known
as Firestarter: The Next Chapter, but it's final name appears to be
Firestarter: Rekindled.

Tudyk, Tom Bower, Celia Weston, Adam Lefevre, Will Rothhaar, Deirdre

Site updates:
Some more updates to the site, including links to the Rose Red tie-in
book, The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer: My Life at Rose Red, due in
January 2002, just prior to the February 2002 release of Rose Red.

I added a link to the movie page regarding Strawberry Spring, a movie
that was released at the St. Louis Local Filmmaker Festival on July
29, 2001.

That's about it for now, but expect the next update to (hopefully)
say that the character list for Black House, as well as the links
contained in it, is online... I can hope can't I???
