The sole purpose of this groups is to allow those who are travelling between Gauteng & KZN to advertise their request/offers for other to respond to as required. In recent times we are now seeing more than 200 mails per month, which amounts to over 5o a week. As a result viewing the messages via the web is difficult. To make this easier for you & others it is important that you put in as much info in the Subject line as possible. Subject of "lift required" or "lift offered says nothing. Take an example, someone offering a return lift to DBN. On 1 Jan 04, return 5 Jan 04 for 2 people @ R220pp return. Then proper subject will be
"Offered,JHB-DBN-JHB,1/1/04,return 5/1/04,2places@R220ea return"
Then in the mail body you can clearly & unambiguously re-iterate what was mentioned in the subject & also include pick-up & drop-off points & times at which you wish to leave. Then to make the decision making of the reader simpler, it is important to include info like what car you drive, how much luggage space available, smoking allowed?, In-car entertainment?, how many planned stops

Then for those who are looking for lifts please don’t feel obligated to take a lift with anyone. If you cancelling, give the driver ample warning

Anyone who has a bad experience with a driver/passenger e.g. overcrowded car, not stopping for toilets, reckless driving, tardiness or general apathy, then feel free to make CONSTRUCTIVE comments about the incident on the group

Lastly please remember that this group is for Gauteng/KZN lifts. This is not a chat group, so if you want to reply to a mail, please mail the author directly & not the entire group. There will be no advertising of commercial content of any kind. If you want to advertise a daily lift to work & back or selling something or a flat to let etc. then use IGAds@yahoogroups.com please.
