The Kagyu list welcomes anyone interested in discussing Buddhism, particularly those with an interest in any of the Kagyu lineages. This includes the Karma Kagyu lineage under the spiritual direction of His Holiness Ugyen Trinley Dorje, the XVIIth Karmapa. Topics include Buddhist meditation, the teachings of Tibetan (or vajrayana) Buddhism, and related news and events.
Milarepa, shown here, is one of the key founding figures for all the kagyu lineages. He made some bad mistakes early in his life, but after taking teachings from Marpa the Translator he spent much of the rest of his life practising in caves in the snowy mountains.
Milarapa's image does not breathe wrath, offers no dreams of world domination, encourages no proselytising - it just speaks of profound, liberating realisation of the nature of mind.
