This is the listserve for volunteers and supporters of the Kansas City Worker Justice Center.

The Kansas City Worker Justice Center is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization organized to empower low-income workers
in the Kansas City metropolitan area by eliminating unjust employment
practices.

At our monthly Workers Rights Clinics, volunteer attorneys, students and other community members provide free assistance to workers with employment problems, primarily wage theft. Workers are advised of their options for remedies, referred to other sources of assistance when necessary, educated about their rights and ways to avoid future problems, and encouraged to be active in the resolution of their problems and in the creation of a more just labor environment.

Clinics are held on the third Monday evening of every month (except January), from 5 to 8 p.m. at El Centro, Inc., 1333 S. 27th St. in the Argentine neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas.

KCWJC offers great volunteer opportunities--both during and between clinics--for Spanish-speakers, lawyers, students, and anyone who believes in justice for workers. To volunteer or for more information, contact us at kansascitywjc@gmail.com.
