Mr Sarkozy led the international community to attack the Gaddafi regime. Its on
record that Mr Sarkozy was a long time friend of Gaddafi with the former having
sponsored Sarkozy's last presidential campaign. Just George Bush who insisted
that the onslaught on Saddam Hussein was beneficial, Sarkozy got a good ally -
the British prime minister David Cameroon. Clearly, the frenchman and british
bulldog were merely proteges of the United States big brother Barack Obama.
Obama remote controlled everything through the UN security council, and Nato.
While these was happening, some African Presidents under AU were mute and
watching like sparrows. South Africa big wig was chased out of Libya, and Kenya
- a great ally of Gaddafi refused to freeze Libyan assets!

Muammar Gaddafi shares some similarities with Bush former target - Saddam
Hussein. While Bush a revenge mission on Saddam, Sarkozy is a pay mission to
dismantle any evidence the Gaddafi family were to provide against him. The
Gaddafi family had provided billions of dollars to fund Sarkozy presidential
bid. The ally turned foe in this battle for oil and control of Africa's Arab
richest country.

Saddam Hussein did muzzle freedom of expression, press and assembly. He did
violate every human rights that existed during his reign. Saddam, yes did detain
opponents, murder those opposed to his ideology. Saddam was the final man, the
immortal, untouchable and one chosen by Allah to govern, rule, manage,
discipline etc. Saddam was the judge and the jury. He was the sultan, the king,
the president, the most powerful man in Iraq and Arab countries. He did dare the
American on broad day light. He did call the westerner names.

Just like Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi mocked his people. He called them
names - rats, scorpions, idiots, morons, infedels, coackroaches, al-queda etc.
He did stand the judge and jury. He did decided who to detain and who to
release. Moreover, his top level security consisted of Arab's beauties
inconsistent with the teachings.

The two countries share same similarities. And Libyans should not celebrate as
yet. After Gaddafi, hard times will follow. After the fall of Saddam Hussein in
Iraq, the culture of grabbing entered. Looting was widespread. The muslim
society in Iraq turned to be a community of grabbers, a egocentric society even
through political processes. Iraqis were happy for new found democracy. But
their democracy came with a prize.

For Libyans, its not time to celebrate. When Hussein was killed and democracy
restored in Iraq, several Iraqis returned home to run the country. Those who ran
away during Hussein's era returned back claiming to be patriots.

Libyan rebels should keenly learn lessons from Iraq and avoid the mistakes.
First, they should elect foreigners or expatriates to run their government.
Expatriates includes those Libyans moguls who ran away and didnt participate in
the struggle. They should consider electing the rebel leaders and those who
remained to fight the Gaddafi regime.

Secondly, Libyans should consider a Presidential system. Parliamentary system
has failed in Iraq as corruption is now widespread. Libyans should have one
centre of power - the presidency to made important decision and lead the country
to a full democracy and restore development.

Thirdly, the Libyans should learn to forgive and forget and not ostracize the
Gaddafi supporters. In Iraq, the Americans and new regime did kick out all
Saddam Husseins' loyalists. They were chased out of government jobs and replaced
totally new people. And therefore, all members of Saadam Husseins' party - Baath
Party were thrown out of government jobs and leadership. The army was dissolved
and new one constituted. This didnt solve the problems of de-baathification
policy. They regrouped and started fighting back. W

have to decide whether to eliminate him or keep him as a sovenior.

I am bemused by the attempt - mercifully defeated ! - last week to introduce an
amendment to election law that would bar non-degree-holders from becoming
lawmakers.
I am not defending non-degree-holders (including myself) at all. But be honest
and ask yourselves who are the fixers of megabuck scams in this country:
Goldenberg, Anglo-Leasing, etc ?
They are all university graduates with degrees !
One of the worst dictators this continent has ever produced is Robert Mugabe. He
has 7 degrees. And he is still milking his country bone-dry - to wit, the
magnificent mansion we recently saw photoed. I hoped it is Narced the way Narc
Govt took over the KICC from Kanu in 2003.
Lets face it - illiterates and non-university guys will never conceive
complicated scams involving billions. If I was heading a ministry, I would
probably steal a few goats and that would be it - but billions ? My mind can't
fathom such mind-boggling figures !

Warsama,

Mutula Kilonzo does not owe anyone except his immediate family a living! What he
does with his after-tax earnings is none of our business.

And please keep in mind that 60%+ of our wildlife lives on private land; KWS
does not have that much capacity.

And reading your recent hate postings here; I fear that you're rapidly running
out of virulent topics or getting increasingly senile or both.

Subject: [Siasa-Kenya] MINISTER MUTULA KILONZO: STARVING HUMANS FIRST BEFORE
WILD ANIMALS

Sometime ago, the DAILY NATION ran an article on Justice Minister Mutula
Kilonzo's wild animals ranch where the minister also had his rural home. He told
the NATION that feeding the wild animals cost him a cool Sh 2m annually.
This is rich, considering the minister comes from a perenially drought-ravaged,
poverty-stricken area where the church is a big provider of famine relief - a
factor that accounts for a lot of top Kamba clerics in the country. The
archbishops of the ruling church (Catholic) and the opposition church (ACK) in
Mombasa are both Kambas as is Pastor Lai of the JCC. In hunger, the Kambas found
God's church and it is treating them very well.
Not so Mutula Kilonzo who has opted to spend Sh 2m a year on wild animals
instead of feeding his hungry people.
Even if the minister were to defend his action by saying he spends a lot more
than Sh 2m (which I doubt), that Sh 2m going to wild animals is still needed by
them. How desperate the struggle for survival in Ukambani is can be gauged by
the hordes of Kambas continually streaming to Mombasa and Kwale in search of
employment.
Mr Minister return the wild animals to their rightful custodian, KWS, and use
that Sh 2m on your own hungry tribesmen.

Subject: SHEIKH DOR CALLS FOR MUSLIM UNITY, BLASTS GoK OVER RENDITIONS
mhmdwarsama
Send Email Send Email

Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) SG and Nominated ODM MP, Sheikh
Muhammad Dor, today tore into the Government of Kenya's two-faced stance on
renditions of Kenyan Muslims to Uganda and The Ocampo Six.
Speaking in his Friday after-prayers talk at Mbaruk Mosque, Mombasa, where he is
also the Imam, Dor called on the Muslim community to offer prayers for the 13
Kenyan Muslims going on trial next Monday over the 2010 World Cup blasts in
Kampala that killed 74 Ugandans. Al-Shabaab terrorists of Somalia were
responsible for the attack said to be in revenge for Ugandan troop deployment in
Somalia's capital of Mogadishu.
Dor said the 13 men sent from Kenya illegaly were "all innocent...and we should
pray for their safe return home to be reunited with their families and friends."
Dor blasted the Kenya Government for sending the men to Kampala in the first
place, without any proof, and yet was quick to rush to the legal aid of The
Ocampo Six against whom a welter of evidence had been compiled by ICC Prosecutor
Luis Moreno-Ocampo.
Dor expressed his shock at Police Commissioner Iteere's unusual admission,
reported in the Press today, that his police had such a limited stock of fuel
that each police vehicle was rationed to 8 litres of fuel only. Dor said it was
not surprising that crime was on the rise in Mombasa and that motorists on the
main arteries of the city had to roll up their windows for fear of
bag-and-mobile phone snatchers. He criticised the police for getting its
priorities wrong."The police are not overly concerned with curbing crime," said
Dor."You will find the Anti-Terrorist Police fully equipped with men, vehicles
and fuel ready to go after innocent Muslims, but the main police force has
grounded vehicles due to inadequate fuel."
Dor saidCIPK was in talks with the Muslim business community and its members
were ready to give the police enough fuel to enable mobile police patrols to
hunt for criminals and keep streets in the city safe. He said his CIPK intended
to see Iteere on Tuesday with its proposal.
Dor strongly appealed for Muslim unity - "we need our unity today more than
anyother time in view of the transition" said the cleric MP. He told Muslims to
"put behind us the Idd-Ul-Fitr divisiveness that resulted in twin celebrations
on Tuesday-Wednesday." Said Dor: "Let us forget what happened and ensure that we
celebrate the next one which is Idd-ul-Adha in absolute unity."
Dor warmly applauded the recent decision of the Mombasa Municipal Council to
rename the historic Ndia Kuu Road near Fort Jesus after highly respected Muslim
cleric, Shariff Khitamy, who died in 2005*. Shariff Khitamy was the father of
the ODM Coast Elections Board Commissioner, Ustadh Muhdhar Khitamy, who is at
loggerheads with the Mayor and ODM MPs including Kisauni MP, Hassan Ali Joho.

off Moi Avenue and Swami Narayan Temple Road among others. Makarios was the
Greek Cypriot hero of the freedom struggle against Britain and was at one time
exiled to Cyprus. We cannot of course accomodate everyone's whimsical wish to
have a road named after him - such as Askofu J K Mwangi - without knowing what
kind of cleric Mwangi is.

Subject: SHEIKH DOR: MUSLIMS MUST RESIST AMENDMENT ON COUNTIES' POWER TO BORROW
mhmdwarsama
Send Email Send Email

Sheikh Muhammad Dor yesterday called on Muslim-dominated counties at the Coast
and NEP to fight tooth and nail a proposal to amend the new Constitution that
would do away with the clause empowering the 47 counties to borrow money from
abroad to finance their development.
The Mbaruk Mosque Imam who is also a Nominated ODM MP and CIPK SG was addressing
the congregation after the Friday prayers yesterday.
Dor said the constitutional provision should be preserved at all cost since it
was of potentially great benefit to Muslim-dominated counties such as Kwale,
Tana, Lamu at the Coastand Garissa, Mandera and Wajir in NEP as well as Isiolo
and Moyale in Upper Eastern.
Dor said the provision whereby counties could negotiate directly with external
sources of finance was uniquely beneficial to the Muslim counties as it would
allow them to directly negotiate for development loans and aid from the Arab and
Muslim world.
Dor emphasised the need for Muslim MPs to fight tenaciously to ensure the
proposed amendment scrapping the provision was defeated.

mhmdwarsama
Send Email Send Email

8.30pm, Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 at Mbaruk Mosque, Mombasa whose Imam is
Sheikh Muhammad Dor, Nominated MP & SG CIPK:
The final prayers of the day were over and Sheikh Dor's assistant was reciting
the usual dua (supplicatory prayers). A groom and his escorts walked in for a
betrothement ceremony to be led by Sheikh Dor.
A group of five Somalis in the congregation walked out simultaneously. Shortly
thereafter, I got up too, feeling hungry after day-long voluntary fast. Outside,
on the walkway to the mosque's entrance, I found the Somalis gathered in
animated discussion. As I knew them all as my friends, I stopped to greet them.
They drew me into their conversation, telling me in outraged tones that one of
the groom's escorts wore studs on both ears. They said they were shocked beyond
description and pointed out that the least the escort could do was to remove
them outside the mosque before going into Allah's House to be a witness to the
groom's engagement.
I totally agreed with them. Thinking Dor might not have spotted the studs though
the pre-wedding group was seated directly facing his imam's position at the
pulpit, I fished out my mobile to alert Dor and tell him congregationists were
upset outside the mosque and could he ask the offender to go outside to remove
the studs before returning back into the mosque. There was no response to my
call.
I looked into the inside of the mosque and spotted Dor standing in the middle of
the prayer hall, talking to two men who were seated on the prayer carpet. I
headed back to the mosque, went up to Dor and took him aside privately where I
whispered that people were angry about the fellow wearing the studs.
Dor, looking upset, told me as he shrugged in resignation, waving his hand
deprecatingly: "Aah, tuwaache tu, badala ya udhia."
True enough, Sheikh Dor, I agree with you it would have been embarassing for him
to have to ask the fellow to go out and remove his studs and come back into the
mosque. But that also brings me to a question I have often asked my friends:
"Why is it do we always find it easier to offend the Unseen Allah than the human
being of His Creation whom we see in front of us but we are reluctant to offend
?"
Please, Sheikh Dor, I hope next time you and all other Imams will consider
Allah's Pleasure first, not the anger of His slaves - us. This is all the more
important at this time when we have a Chief Justice who says he is a Muslim and
wears a stud. Sheikh Dor, what would you do if he came to your mosque - God
forbid ?

Set aside your excitement over The Hague, all you who are Ocampo Six bashers.
And consider with absolute calm and cool minds, the awesome repercussions of a
conviction of The Six (really Three).
Are you sure you will be punishing impunity alone by locking the Three for
donkey's years ? Nah. The whole of Kenya is on trial at The Hague - its very
future - its peace and stability - harmony among the 42 tribes.
Are we seriously ready to jeorpadise all that by gambling at The Hague ?
The Three are not from any weakling tribes. They are 2 Kalenjins and a Kikuyu.
Two of the tribes whose cooperation, loyalty and support are necessary to make
Kenya governable.
Let us go as far as we can to the brink with these Three at The Hague and stop
short of pushing them over the brink because the damage to the country would be
far greater than any custodial sentences the ICC can mete out to them. Let us
register the point dramatically that impunity will never be allowed in the New
Democratic Kenya and give them a conditional discharge subject to good conduct.
Jailing them would explode the tinderbox under our feet. Their two tribes will
unite in vengefulness against Luo Nyanza and a mayhem worse than PEV would
ensue. If they are jailed, they will never lettheir perceived archenemy to
ascend to the State House peacefully.
Think it over Kenyans. Think it deeply without emotion and come to a sober and
realistic conclusion. Whatever you decide, jail is not an option.

A new worrisome trend that can blow big holes in middle class Muslim household
budgets has emerged. This last Ramadhan, significant numbers of Muslim wives
have been outsourcing for the traditional dainty starters for fast breaking.
This was most noticeable on Makadara Road home to five popular Muslim eating
joints where buibuiclad women arrived in their scores on foot, by cars or tuk
tuks to buy huge quantities of dainty food items to take to their homes. By
5pm, one popular joint, Barka, ran out completely out of food.
The Kitchen Brigade's invasion was felt most heavily in the last week of
Ramadhan when hundreds of buibuiwomen converged on the Makadara hotels, eating
everything in sight and damn the bill, if you don't mind. And with Idd, they
came with their little ones who ate noisily whatever they fancied.
At 7pm on Thursday, I could not find any decent meal to eat after day one of my
six-day voluntary fast. I was forced to skip day two due to acute hunger on
Friday.
Now the invasion force is being time barred. By tomorrow, it should mercifully
retreat to the kitchens and once again we can ejoy the dainty foods we used to
eat.

Mr. Ochwangi,

I have been following your tirades against The Captain for a very long time.

I do agree that you really supported The Captain prior to his last bid. So did
all of us. Some of us did put in lots of efforts that saw him win the last
elections. Then his win was stolen and the rest has been history.

We were all expecting that we will be given appointments in his government based
on our support for him. But again, some of us do have the capacity to know that
not all of us can get into Government.

A few of us got appointments and life moved on. For the many of us who did not
get any appointments, life must still move on. And this is where we differ with
you Brother.

Given that you were not able to get any appointments from The Captains side, why
are you trying to cast aspersions all the time on the man my brother? Can't you
let go and live your life?

Why have you made one Raila Amolo Odinga your only pre-occupation? The problem
is, as hard as you may try, the other side will not see you. Nay, they do not
even know that you are in existence. You are hence still better off where you
are, where you were.

Lastly my brother, jipe kazi mwenzangu. Talking about Raila Amolo Odinga all day
long will not place some bread on your table.

No, it may. Tuju may appoint you his PA.

Excellent point Ndiritu, The Hague is finally providing us with the opportunity
to see and hear that which was hidden from us all this time and to finally
confirm what we have known and been saying all along, that RAO was and is part
and parcel of the calamity that befell Kenya in 2007/2007 PEV. Ocampo may have
exercised his prosecutorial powers unwisely, perhaps to preserve the fragile
peace reached and stop the bloodletting by giving RAO the pass but that does not
mean we also should, he has been mentioned more times in the two days of the
hearings than anybody, I say Ocampo and the ICC should expand its investigations
and let the chips fall where they may, it is the ONLY way to arrive at a lasting
solution/peace in Kenya. I don’t see how the
Ocampo Six face the Hague for crimes against humanity while the biggest and
only beneficiary of those crimes not only walks but also is left to run for the
presidency; I just think it is wrong and will simply lead to unnecessary tension
and turmoil in Kenya. We just want fairness, equity and above all JUSTICE!

For those who are confirming their cases, its important if they concetrated on

Paul, ati mass action is simply a peaceful protest? You amaze me and I
wonder which Kenya you live in. In Kenya mass action means
demonstration by hired goons with one intention, destruction. In mass
action there are no leaders and it is simply a mob justice.

The overture by the Mois to Raila Odinga sparking rumours that they want him to
return to Kanu and lead a ticket with Gideon Moi as running mate shows how wily
the former President is.
He is trying to take advantage of a Raila, seriously weakened by the ODM split
with Ruto, and lure him into a compromising political situation exposing the PM
as a man driven by opportunism and deliver the sucker punch at the right time.
Moi is lusting for a payback for what RAO did by virtually destroying the once
powerful ruling party. Moi has never forgiven RAO for that, political niceties
notwithstanding.
Moi knows very well that RAO would dearly like to have the Kalenjins back with
him since they, with Abaluhya support, would guarantee him better prospects of
election victory next year.
With both Ruto and Kosgey pinned down at The Hague, the Kalenjin field now may
potentially belong to Gideon Moi and Sally Kosgei. It is this awareness that
informs Moi's overture to RAO. For Moi, it is also a perfect bait lure for
finishing Raila and ODM the way RAO did it to Kanu.
In a novel on high finance called The Money Changers, there was this avaricious
millionaire who wanted to build a big business empire through acquisitions of
rival companies at the stock market. He particularly wanted to finish off a top
executive who was a sworn enemy. He instructed one of hisadvisers to hire the
guy as CEO of one of his companies that he had secretly acquired.
The adviser, puzzled, asked him: "Why ?"
His reply ? "I want to have the pleasure of firing the bastard."
Does that give you an idea about what Moi has in mind for RAO ? Lets wait and
see.

Let me state from the outset that I was with The Weekly Review in 1979 when
owner-editor Hilary Ng'weno dished out assignmenbts to the staff to interview
election candidates who were contesting that year and compile their profiles.
The boss assigned me Nairobi and Mombasa and that is how I came yo know Wambui
and her late husband. They took me and my photographer one evening to their
Upper Matasia home where for two hours I interviewed the couple. S.O. Otieno and
I became good friends, often meeting each other at the then popular Nairobi City
Hall restaurant for three-course meals (very cheap: Sh 35 bob would you believe
?).
I was shocked at the couple's death and by the protracted court battles over
S.O.'s burial site.
Having said that, after reading the U. Kager clan want to bury Wambui in Nyanza,
I decided to pay a visit to Salim, a Luo Muslim in government service, in
Mombasa. I asked him where he planned to be buried and he said back home in
Nyanza.
Me: "No way, Salim. You are going to be buried at Kikowani Muslim Cemetery where
all Muslims are buried."
He started arguing that Luo traditions required burial of the dead in Nyanza.
Me: "I know about all that, Salim. That after the death of a Luo, his or her
spirit converges on Ramogi Hill. But lets face it, that Ramogi hill is simply
too overcrowded and cannot accomodate any more dying Luos. We will bury you
amongst us and our Quran reading over you will banish spirits from haunting your

He is only half-convinced because I was talking to him in the presence of
non-Muslim Luos who glared at me in disapproval. I intend to continue with my
mission of convincing him fully, but away from fellow Luos.

Guys

Please stop being paid cheap coins around to discredit people who have shaped
Kenya! If today i walk in your office and declare that you have been fired - i

But when persecution comes along the way - you will definately forget your

betrayal Jesus had with one man called Peter. Some of these fellows who have
been defending the status quo have been the greatest enemies of development! Now
before i start punching my way inside their territories, i would like you to
stop, think....before 2012 on who will be your preferred choice of candidate.
Just imagine that candidate knocking your door and introducing himself or
herself to you?

Now lets have a look at the following individuals BESIDE Raila Odinga - and let
someone tell me if anyone listed below is actually fit to take the mantle in
2012.People have discussed RAO too much and i now want to challenge them to tell
me who is fit to be the President 2012. When i arrived in NAIROBI - i only found
two songs - that of Raila and Peter. Lets check them against - first reform
credentials, vision, today's actions etc. Lets be sincere, put aside some
selfish interest and try and analyze these individuals.

1. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka
2. Uhuru Kenyatta
3. William Samoe Ruto
4. Martha Karua
5. Peter Kenneth
6. Prof George Saitoti
7. Eugune Wamalwa
8. Mutava Musyimi (i send my condolescence for the passing on of his biological

9. Moses Wetangula
10. Paul Muite
11. Prof Ole Kiyapi
12. Raphael Tuju
13. ETC ETC ETC including Bafoli Wakoli

Why i keep telling you that you have not made a proper choice is because you are
all blind behind your laptops, phones and desktops trying to write stories about
Raila this, Raila that....Kiyapi hii Kiyapi huu. Mutava Hivi, Tuju hii...YOU DO
NOT also have a creteria to choose your President. My next email will reveal to
you - the person who has been Kenyan's preferred candidate of choice all the

ONE MAN stands singly - the man to lead Kenya to the promised land. Kenya will

Bro Ali Rashid et al,
You have said it all for me - that Islamic Sharia practices take precedence over
traditional tribal practices. We do not seem to have an Islamic cultural group
at the moment to educate Muslims from tribes like Mijikenda, Luo, Luhya etc that
they must abandon tribal customs in conflict with Islamic practices. For
example, it is distressing that Digos, who are largely Muslims, believe in kaya
forests as being sacred on the ground that their ancestral spirits dwell there.
This belief has been the cause of two important mining projects being stalled in
Kwale within this last decade and last month. Such a belief is unIslamic and a
lot of Islamic education is required to sensitize the Digos that their belief is
at odds with Islamic teachings that the spirits of the dead repose in barzakh
(purgatory) until Resurrection Day. Likewise, Somalis often violate Islamic
teachings in many ways - they kill each other in the name of tribe and not
Islam, their wedding
ceremonies start at 6.30pm when Muslims are in maghrib prayers, many of their
women move around without buibus, they dance with men at weddings, etc. There is
a small tribe in Saudi Arabia whose married women refuse to remove their veils
even for their husbands who do not know how their wives look like. In Pakistan,
some Muslim tribes in the poorer regions have not abandoned their pre-Islamic
Hindu practice of burying alive unwanted girl babies.
In Africa, the Christian Church has failed miserably to inculcate the Christian
way of life on its adherents. You will find educated Africans holding top jobs
marrying inside and outside the church as well as having concubines. When it
comes to burial of the dead, Christianity is tossed outside the window as the
dead are given traditional burial rites.
We cannot speak for the church, only for Islam. Let us educate our people
including converts like my Luo friend Salim into fully embracing Islamic
practices.

want for your property, and you say Sh 5m, they give you Sh 6m - a million more
- so you can move out quickly. Their God gives them whatever they ask Him."
Can Paulo be believed about a Somali President for Kenya ? End of last year, I
was asked by a prominent Somali sheikh to write that Kikuyus were considering a
Somali they could use as a proxy to serve their interests. I declined, since I
had not heard it from anybody else.
It is my belief however that we need a Radical Thought Revolution in the minds
of Kenyans that would move us away from our traditional shopping areasfor
presidential candidates. This will call for Generation Change Leadership for one
thing. For another, how about:
Kikuyus ceding the leadership of GEMA to Embu-Merus whom they can support for
the Presidency ? Alternatively, let the Kikuyus of Mpeketoni be the New GEMA
leaders and they in turn can anoint a prominent Muslim lawyer, Issa Tamimy, as
Presidential candidate ?
As for Luos, after 50 years of domination by Bondo, it is high time Luo
leadership went to Southern Nyanza. And Busia should lead Luhyas as a compromise
between Kakamega and Bungoma.

The news is everywhere that the PM and the VP will lead a contingent of the most
prominent looters to Muliro Gardens and celebrate Moses Wetangula's loot at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was reinstated after approximately 1 year in the
cold. No one provided explanation to Kenyans if this man actually looted, ate,
stole funds designated for foreign embassies. But we know that the Auditor
General has said so. Kibaki stands accused, PM Raila stands accused as the
coordinator of the most corrupt ministers in Kenya.

Where are those who kept vigil at Jogoo house against Minister Ongeri? Is Moses
return to lead the road to Caanan with a bag full of stolen money NOT immoral,
illegal and against the constitution? The cabinet has become a den of
competition. While Uhuru is squarely responsible for the strike, PM is defending
the government over teachers' hiring and pay. MPs are scheming to eat into
teachers funds.

Subject: UNIQUE WAY TO REALLY BOOST MUSLIM VOTING POWER
mhmdwarsama

Next Sunday, September 11th, 2011 - yes Nine Eleven ! - the gates will finally
close shut on what regrettably and shamefully is known as the Arab-Somali
portion of the sprawling Kikowani Muslim Cemetery, Mombasa after being in
service for over 60 years. The reason ? It is overfull. The other sections for
Swahilis, Walamus, Barawas and Baluchis are far from full.
That portion would be replaced with the Tudor Muslim Cemetery, but after some
time, the Somalis would move to a new site which the Somali Community
Development Initiative will renovate and make it available for burial to Muslims
regardless of colour or tribe, but under its management.
Now here is a unique opportunity to bolster Muslim voting power.
I suggest that that we form a National Muslim Cemeteries Association which
will, as an administrative measure, introduce a compulsory requirement that the
burial permit for a dead Muslim must be accompanied by a voting card. This
should be rigidly enforced, for security reasons, in the NEP as cemetery
authorities are entitled to know full details about who they allow to be buried
in their grounds.
With such a compulsory requirement in place, every living Muslim who is too bone
lazy now to acquire his/her voter's card will high tail it to the nearest IEBC
registration centre to get registered.
It is much easier to enforce such a rule since appeals to Muslims in mosques
during Friday prayers to get registered will only fall on deaf ears.

There is a battle for influencing the Luo Mind going on in Nyanza these days. It
is between the old school who favour Uniformity of Minds and a new generation of
professionals who champion Independent Thinking or call it Alternative Opinion.
In the old school are dyed-in-the-wool pro-Raila protagonists like Maurice
Oduor, a water engineer in Canada, Lee Makwiny, a blogger-cum-businessman in
Nairobi who moderates the popular Progressive Kenyans google group. Others
include a retiree, Jagem Makonyego, and a practising doctor in Finland, Dr Paul
Nyandoto.
The Independent Thinkers Bloc consists entirely of raw material biding to take
over the mantle of the New Generation Change Leadership. They include architect
J.T. Okinda a man who is on record as saying very recently that if Raila Odinga
will stand in the way of democratic, progressive changes within the ODM, then he
will have to step aside. Likewise, Lawyer Nyamodi Nyamogo is a forceful thinker
in the same vein who is opposed to uniformity of minds as a form of
dictatorship.
There are other young Luo professionals who have thrown the gauntlet down in a
rather forceful challenge to RAO's leadership of Luos. These are Eric Oduya,
vice-chairman of VuguVugu Mashinani (VVM) and his retiring chairman, Otieno
Sungu.
There are other equally impressive independent thinkers in the fora. Outside
these two opposing groups is another group of two prominent Luos who stand in a
class of their own as serious opponents of Raila Odinga. They are former Rangwe
MP Shem Ochuodho who is busy building a G47 Alliance he calls Third Force for a
stab at the presidency and former Kibaki advisor and ex minister Raphael Tuju.
Unlike Ochuodho who is a veteran opponent of RAO, Tuju is a fairly newcomer and
is also chasing the presidency.
The battle is for the control of the minds of newly vote-empowered Luo youth.
They are the ones who grew up unfamiliar with the role Jaramogi Odinga played in
Kenyan politics and were still adolescents when Raila started his political
career. The Odingas may not mean the same thing to these Luo kids as they meant
to older generation Luos. It is not for nothing that Raila adopted Kazi Kwa
Vijana programme as his pet project. But that project has had many financial
hiccups causing it to be stalled.
Raila announced last June that it would be relaunched anew after getting Sh 4
billion in foreign funds. There was a plan by Lee Makwiny to recruit 30,000 ODM
Youth in Nyanza unveiled just after the Premier's announcement. But there are
still no indications of when, if at all, the revived Programme would take off.
Given the growing tendency of the Treasury to transfer budgeted votes to other
pressing needs - to wit money set aside for teachers given to the military - it
seems likely that the Sh. 4bn Raila said was given by donors for relaunching KKV
has already been diverted to other uses.

Chairman Sungu is intact and we will soon release a statement on the new

was quite bold and respect him for that. Lee Makwiny is doing great and by the
way he is not based in Nairobi but in Kisumu City. He is a well known man along
the beaches of Dunga, HIPPO Point and the slum areas of Kondele, Kibuye, and
Nyalenda. Lee's networks stretch to Homabay, Kisii, Migori, oyugis and siaya. He
is a medic by professional and a blogger by choice.

You also failed to mention that VVM is the only movement formed on the basis of

And you too, Elijah Ngugi. You two and Rachel Karoki have loudly complained

Look at this Somali refugee family accomodated by the civic council in UK in a

It beats anything refugee Nyandoto has for a house in Finland. Kuleni wembe !

Subject: MSA GOVERNOR: MAYOR DENIES INSULTING ARABS
mhmdwarsama
Send Email Send Email

"I strongly deny that I insulted the Arab Community," so declared Mombasa Mayor
Ahmed Muhdhar this morning when officially opening the new Tudor Muslim Cemetery
in Mombasa.
Mayor was clarifying remarks he had made in a recent speech on next year's
elections and Mombasa politics. He denied that in that speech he had singled out
the Arab community for attack.
He said: "That is totally untrue. All I said in my speech was that there was
someone who was raised in a poor family background and now wants to spend Sh 4
billion to become Governor of Mombasa County. Even Raila's Presidential campaign
will not cost Sh. 4bn."
This was an apparent reference to Arab-born Suleiman Shahbal, Chairman of Gulf
Africa Bank. The Mayor is an ally of Kisauni MP Hassan Ali Joho who wants to be
governor too.
The Mayor disclosed that shortly after making the speech, he received a phone
call from former Kisauni MP, Arab-born Said Hemed, who said he wanted to see the
mayor urgently. He added: "When Hemed came to my secretary's office, I was in a
meeting but I could not let him cool his heels. I left the meeting in the
parlour and saw him in my office."
The Mayor went on: "Said Hemed came straight to the point, asking me: 'We hear
you insulted Arabs in a recent speech.'" The Mayor said he told Hemed it was
false and baseless and gave him a Radio Rahma tape of his speech to go and
listen to it: "Please go and listen to my speech. Nowhere did I ever mention
Arabs by name. I only talked about one individual who says he wants to spend Sh
4bn next year to capture the county governor's seat in Mombasa."
Mayor said the Tudor Muslim Cemetery was largely through his efforts after Said
Hemed contacted him on behalf of the trustees of Kikowani Cemetery which had
become full. It is on Mombasa Municipal Council land which will retain ownership
of the title deed, along with similar proposed sites at Kongowea, Kisauni,
Mbaraki and Chaani to ease congestion in current Kikowani cemetery. The Somali
Development Initiative is to develop the Kongowea site but this, like the Tudor
one, will serve all Muslims regardless of colour, race or tribe.
According to Said Hemed, the 100-year-old Kikowani cemetery section for Arabs
and Somalis ios closing from tomorrow when all burials will take place at the
new site. The Kikowani ce3metery will be shut for ten years, the mandatory time
in Islamic sharia before graves can be unearthed and rolled over for fresh
burials.
The Tudor Muslim Cemetery has brand new facilities including a washing room,
store, hall for last prayers, office, toilets and separate women's section.
FOOTNOTE: A brother of former Mayor Taib Ali Taib told me during the function
that Taib will run for Mombasa senator.

Subject: ESCORT WITH EAR STUDS: SHEIKH DOR BLAMELESS
mhmdwarsama
Send Email Send Email

Last evening, Sheikh Dor found me waiting in the Mbaruk mosque for prayers and
came to me. After shaking hands, he complained: "Dont you ever write anything
good ? That ear studs email story you posted on the internet brought me a lot of
criticism in Nairobi, as though I was the instigator."
Let me make it clear to the Nairobi complainant/s who blamed Dor for my story.
He was in no way responsible for it. I never discussed it with him or sought
permission from him to write it.
I was simply exercising my two rights of being foremost, in this case, a good
Muslim and secondly, a journalist to report this violation of the dignity of the
House of Allah, a matter that aroused much controversy recently in connection
with the ear stud worn by Chief Justice Willy Mutunga who said he is a Muslim.
No one, not the richest or the poorest, the most powerful or the weakest Muslim,
is allowed to violate Islamic teachings inside or outside the House of Allah.
In the mid-90s when the Moi Government relented to pressure and allowed then
exiled IPK leader Khaled Balala back to Kenya, he went to address a gathering at
Sakina Mosque after the 8pm prayers.
Half an hour into his talk, we heard stones raining down on the roof of the
mosque. It lasted about ten minutes. The next morning, I typed a letter of moral
outrage and disgust to then Kanu Coast baron and tycoon Rashid Sajjad and the
then Coast Provincial Intelligence Officer Shukri Bwaramadi, blaming them for
organising the stone-throwing hooligans. I told them in my letter; "You should
have instructed your rowdies to stone Khalid Balala after leaving the mosque,
instead of annoying your Unseen God by stoning his House."
In fact, if there is any attachable blame on the recent ear stud incident, it
should be over Dor's failure to evict the offender from Allah's House.
What more did the complainsant/s want from Dor ? They got more than they
deserved and should have kept silent instead of complaining to Dor.

Subject: [uchunguzionline] THE ESCORT WHO WORE EAR STUDS AT SHEIKH DOR'S MOSQUE
TONIGHT

Sheikh Dor, what would you do if he came to your mosque - God
forbid ?

ALL IN FORUM LAND,

Why are you all silent when our Somali women have been subjected to such filthy
abuse by one guy calling himself Makbeng ? See the trash below.
Where is your condemnation of this, Pastor Absalom Birai ? And you too Bishop
Mbagaya ? And you Dr Mitch Medina ? Men of the church who condemned me for
expressing admiration for a bishopric lady's mammarian protuberances. Don't tell
me there is a difference. Insult is insult is insult ! Period.
Your condemnation unleashed the whole pack of wolves in Forum Land who came
baying for my scalp. Where are they, these moral hypocrites of double standards
? Why are they also silent.
I do not want to hold any ethnic community members in Forum Land responsible for
Makbeng's filthy attack on our respectable Somali women. But we know Makbeng is
a Luo name and so he is an ODM Member.
I am now acting judgementally as per our Somali customs when somebody insults
another. Apologies and monetary compensations are due.
In Makbeng's case, I am demanding his Ugenya clan represented in Forum Land by
Maurice Oduor to make suitable amends on behalf oftheir errant member. They
mustgive 100 kilograms of omena and mbuta to my friend Mahdy Abdi who can
direct them to give it to the refugee camps. It is called hal (xaal) in our
Somali language.
Lee Makwiny, leader of 30,000 ODM youth in Nyanza, should deploy his youth in
tracing Makbeng and handing him over to Eastleigh Somali Youth for proper
guidance and counselling.
Alternatively, Lee should hand him over to miraa exporters to Mogadishu where he
will be the guest of bearded sheikhs for a period.
Unless and until prominent Luo members in the fora apologise on Makbeng's
behalf, I propose all Somalis and Muslims in the fora should completely boycott
any subject concerning RAO and ODM. I am deadly serious.

But Muslims automatically must cease fasting after the 30th day irrespective of
whether the New Moon has been sighted or not.

reforms stage when it became a public controversy.

countries in Africa peg their Idd-Ul-Fitr holidays to the Saudi Arabian Calendar
and then vary the dates upon confirmed sightingsa of the New Moon. There is no
reason why Kenya, which has the fastest Muslim growing population in this
region, should not adopt the pattern of Muslim public holidays in other African
countries e.g.

Lamu West MP Fahim Twaha, facing a tough election challenge next year from
Lawyer Issa Timamy, has been using the golden spoon to feed the largely Kikuyu
electorate in Mpeketoniwith development projects built with super
structuresthat costmoney well spent on them. But his CDF bought shoddy
materials for projects inthe rest of the locations in the constituency where
millions in CDF funds have gone missing.
That, in a nutshell, is the Audit Report Card by the National Taxpayers
Association (NTA). It was presented at a gathering in Lamu Town on July 24 this
year.
The NTA report said that of the Sh 1,500,000 spent on Lamu Boys Secondary
School, a total of Sh 1,125,000 is unaccounted for. The project is incomplete
and not in use.
Witu Primary School: Incomplete, Sh. 1,125,000 unaccounted for.
Kijitoni & Gadeni Drainage: Sh 4,000,000 wasted money.
160 desks were bought for 8 schools in Moa, Hongwe, Mkunumbi, Shella, Matondoni,
Hindi, Boko and Mkomani at Sh 2,400,000 but the desks were inferior quality and
too small, making it uncomfortable for pupils to sit on them.
Wetemere Primary School in Mpeketoni: Sh 4m spent. Good structure.
Mkunumbi Sec. School: Sh 2,500,000 spent. Good.
Mapenya Primary School: 2 classroom rehabilitation at Sh 500,000. Superb
structure.
Hongwe Sec. School, Mpeketoni: 4 classrooms at Sh 2,500,000. Superb structure.
Lake Amu Sec. School, Mpeketoni: Sh 2,500,000. Well done.
Hindi Sec. School: Sh. 2,500,000. Good.
Shella Sec. School in Amu: Sh. 2,500,000. Well done.
Moa Water Project, Witu: Sh. 1m. Well done.
Badly Used Money:Sh. 6,775,000.
Wasted Money: Sh. 375,000.
Unaccounted Money: Sh. 5,250,000.
Ghost Projects that do not exist: Sh. 3,000,000.
Abandoned Projects: Sh. 1,125,000 unaccounted for.
Well built projects: Sh 22,600,000.
Badly built projects: Sh. 6,675,000.

Just like Jesus was betrayed for 13 pieces of silver, so too have Walamus been
betrayed for 13 pieces of voting paper by incumbent Lamu West MP, Fahim Twaha,
who represents also the interests of 44,000 Kikuyu settlers brought to Mpeketoni
by the Kenyatta & Kibaki Governments.
My bearded forum pal, "Askofu" Kuria Mwangi - Uhuru Kenyatta's propagandist in
the Diaspora - has posted a Kikuyu Mugithi Dance song lauding Fahim Twaha for
"services" rendered to Mpeketoni Kikuyus by him (see below).
Mugithi wa Fahim dance song is the ultimate betrayal of the indigenous people by
their two area MPs - Twaha (West) and Abu Chiaba (East). Both men are outsiders,
like the Kikuyu settlers, with Twaha, a half-Baluchi coming from Mombasa whilst
Chiaba is a Barawa migrant from Somalia. How can they ever campaign against the
Kikuyu settlers who comprise almost 50% of the Lamu population, unheard of in
Kenya.
Knowing this, it is no surprise that the Mpeketoni Kikuyus love Fahim so much
they decided to dedicate a Mugithi song in his honour. As the National Taxpayers
Association Report Card for Lamu West shows, all CDF projects in Mpeketoni were
built with superb structures, with no money wasted, whereas those in locations
occupied by the Walamus were built with shoddy materials and millions in CDF
funds have gone missing.
What this means is Twaha himself personally handled the CDF projects in
Mpeketoni, buying materials of the highest quality and keeping a tight control
on project funds. In contrast, he let the CDF team do as it pleased in the areas
occupied by Walamus, hence shoddy materials and millions embezzled.
Fahim, if you well believe in Islam, you will be called upon by Allah on
Judgement Day to account for every atom of injustice you have done to your
fellow Muslims of Lamu West, for the sake of the votes in Mpeketoni.

Warsama:
Wacha mambo mingi na siasa tere and concentrate on your cemetery project. Kazi
yako ni kupayuker payuker mambo ya wajaluo na wakikuyu. Go back to Nyanza and
stay there for good.

Now this makes sense. I was listening to Kikuyu Music and then went to the
Muguthi genre.  What shocked me was hear about Mugithi wa Fahim. I have never
heard of anything about Mugithi of anyone living outside some knuckleheads in
2008 called Lesotho (following the comments from that fool friend of yours
called Balala).

I am sorry if you dont understand Gikuyu language but this Mugithi wa fahim is
one hell of a good song, what I can call the best of the Mugithi. I have a taste
of good music and this

If what women are saying is correct, Kibaki people will vote for Fahim and you
seem to agree with them. Why are they calling Fahim JJ?

Mugithi (train) wa Fahim umeingia
Muguthi wa Maendeleo
Muguthi wa Kibaki umeingia
Fahim arundi bunge
You brought tractors to prepare roads

Instead of complaining about others, why dont you get some women to sing about
Mugithi ya Warsama since you have started a Cemetery project? Hata hio ni
maendeleo although your opponents will say electorates will buried at your
cemetery if they elect you (read they will be dead if Warsama is elected since
he only thinks about burials and death).   Endelea kupayuker payuker.
