Hi,

I am looking for knitters willing to donate their handknitted or crocheted items to children and babies in need worldwide.

I also need people willing to research where to send these items.

For example, the latest appeal from amnesty international said that "Many newborn AIDS babies in Africa are sent home from hospital wrapped in newspaper to keep them warm; just like fish and chips." so there is obvously a need.

The Amnesty International appeal has now closed, but the need for baby wear has not. I would like to send parcels of baby clothes to places such as these, but I need to find a way to contact them to organise these donations.
