Dave,
I should be reading my emails properly, but the same applies, you are very
welcome to call in at wingland at any time and no landing fees to pay
The good news is thanks to yourself, I got the part and have repaired the
strobe, did not need to wind the wire around the bulb, although I had to cut
down the copper extender as the tails on the new strobe were shorter than
the originals.
again thanks for your help
Dave can you help further please, there are three coloured screw contacts
on the side of the box can you advise me what these are for

now, all I've got to do now is get these airzone ones going
Best Regards and thanks

Pete

Looks like a trick pic to me......

Why make the first take off in such cramped surroundings?

Why make radical camera/focus moves just as he "takes off?"

Nah! Watch a bird take off and its first few wing movements are massive and the
bird weighs diddly squat and has

v.strong muscle/weight ratio unlike the Dutchman who looks undernourished!

I can't remember what they're for, but seem to think it might be something to do
with a 12v battery charging facility. It replaces the Rotax
rectifier/regulator. Think that's it, but don't quote me.

The rules of the competition did not allow an assisted take off. Dave was
assisted by his team to launch and so his flight was disallowed.

You say that the Adapter has only been used for 250 hours – I have the same
radio since 2005 but have only used the DC Adapter about twice as I usually make
sure to charge my radio the night before I go flying. The longest flight that
I’ve ever undertaken in one day would have been 6 hours and while I would have
been talking to Shannon Control all during the flight my radio battery lasted
without any difficulty. That said, I have replaced the battery once about 2 - 3
years ago when I purchased a new one from Flycom . Their price was the best at
the time.

The prop is a neat design, makes for a very tidy non flying setup. I wouldn’t
like to have a head on road accident though – I like to see one crash tested

The prop is a neat design, makes for a very tidy non flying setup. I wouldn’t
like to have a head on road accident though – I like to see one crash tested
by Euroncap.

This is birilliant...drive to the airport, change to flying mode, do a x-country
flight and if the weather caves in...drive home!!

*That's a damn' good point Laurie. Unless the fuel management chip 'knows' that
the particular hinjector has gone tech and ups the supply through the other one?

Perhaps the exhaust has a Lambda probe or similar, and controls what goes in by
checking what comes out, in which case it would up the supply when it detected
lean mix.

Guessing, but fun to do

Cheers

Exactly.
Not only does it have to "know" that one system has gone down but it has to
"guess" which system it is!

It would take 4 engine revolutions.

But would you want the engine to run on for four engine revs if the high
pressure hose had gone.
Not looked at this engine yet but do wonder the logic of duplication sometimes
in planes.
How many cars have two systems and when did you last see a failure?
Two systems gives twice as much to go wrong, more cost, more weight.
'Kiss' every time
(Keep it simple stupid)
