Hi All,
A friend of mine who's painted metal miniatures for a number of years now,
with some degree of success(at least you can tell what the figures are supposed
to be!)has asked the following questions on another groups page (Warganing). Up
to now he's always carefully removed flash, mould lines etc. as 'normal'.
However, he's have never taken any steps to remove casting powder / releasing
agent (mainly because the figures he buys aren't noticiably affected) But he's
always understood that some gamers have been washing figures prior to priming
for this purpose.
What he'd like to know is
a) does anyone actually do this / has anyone ever done this?
b) if so, has it proved to give a better finish, or caused any problems?
c) as an alternative, is brushing to remove the residue as effective?
In hope somebody can help?
Paul
