Considering some mini painting seminars. Any recommendations?

I've generally been very happy with the quality of the painting seminars that
I've taken at GenCon. My main recommendation is that if there is one that you
would like to take but is sold out, bring enough generic tickets and talk to the
instructor before the seminar starts. Ask the instructor if you can attend if
there is room, and often times, you will be able to attend because a no show.
Do bring a pen/pencil, paper to take notes on, a paint brush, an appropriate
mini for practice (just in case), and some appropriate paints (just in case).
Some of the seminars are hands on and some are not. It's handy to have the
materials if the seminar isn't a hands on one so that you can practice along a
bit.
Even if the seminar is hands on, having some paints that you want to use can be
useful.
