Hello all!



I was wondering if anyone had a link for specialized magic effects for a

miniature.

An example may be some sort spell emanating from a miniatures hand...

Armorcast has been doing gunfire and missiles - perhaps they have expanded the

line. Or start looking at the Heroclix - some superpowers are shown with added

stuff.

With some modifying, this could make a nice fire spell flying off

the hand, though it'll probably need a lot of support given its size.

Sorry about that. That site isn't very stable for page loading. Go

to http://armorcast.com/ and click on the Miniatures link, and type

in Flame into the quick find menu, and it should come up.

looks like it could be useful, or were you thinking more along the lines of a

light effect such as a glowing hand to show the power building?

It probably depends most on the type of effect you're after.  You can do cool

effects with clear resin, or even modeling cement used creatively.  Add ink

washes and even some very subtle glitter effects... whatever looks good to you.



Start by deciding on the effect you want and work backwards from there would be

my best advice.

I don't know if this is what you had in mind but Jody TUcker used clear resin to

make all the fire effects for her army including the fire ball from the mages

hand and then put LED lights in them to make them glow.
