Dear Parents:

Hope you all enjoyed your holidays.

The spring semester will start this Saturday (1/06/07). We will open
all classes listed on the schedule. There will be three more new
classes starting from this semester. They are: Chinese Kindergarten
(12:30--2:20), Dance B (12:30--2:20), and Adult Fitness & Dance
(2:50--4:00). All three classes still have opening. If anyone who is
interested in the classes, but needs to know more about the contents
of the classes, is welcome to visit the classes and talk to the
teachers or us.

Last semester, most of our parents did wonderful jobs on their
duties. We really appreciate it. However there are still some
parents who did not show up on their duty's day without any
explanations. We hope that all parents on duty come on time and
fulfill responsibilities.

I haven't finish parents on duty list yet. But for this week, they
are:

First shift: Yelin Xiong, Zhengming Wang
Second shift: Andrew Xiao, Kimberly Yang
Third shift: Yelin Xiong, Connie Yang

Enjoy the rest of the week, and see you on Saturday!

Dear parents:

Thank you very much for everyone's cooperation, we had a great start
of new semester last Saturday! There are several things that I like
to mention to you:

1) There will be parent and teacher conference for each Chinese
class on this Saturday. The meeting will be held in the beginning 15
minutes of each class. This is a good chance for you to communicate
with the teachers as well as the other parents. Please try your best
to attend the meeting with your questions, suggestions and opinions.
The meeting schedule is:
                 12:30 pm --- 12:45 pm for classes 12:30---2:20

                 4:30 pm ---- 4:45 pm for classes 4:30 --- 6:20

Please note that the parent and teacher conference is only for the
Chinese classes. There will be no meeting for math and the other
culture classes.

2) For Math class parents: There is a $5 material fee due on the
first day of new semester. If you haven't paid yet, please do so
this Saturday.

attend and pay for the class by times. The answer is YES. The fee
for each time is $8. You can pay the fee each time when you come.

the spring festival gala. There are about 15 people signed for it.
We need more parents to participate. Following people and other

Dear teachers:

Welcome back to the school! Thank you very much for your good
preparation so that we had a very smooth start last Saturday. There
are several things which I need to mention to you:

1) This Saturday there will be a parent and teacher conference for
each Chinese class. The meeting will last about 15 minutes in the
beginning of each class. This is the best chance for you to
communicate with the entire class parents. Please prepare for it in
advance, especially you should get your teaching plan for this
semester ready and distribute them to each parent. Also you need to
submit one copy of your plan to me.

2) For the performance program for spring festival gala of each
class, please pay your attention to the calendar. There are only
four weeks left before the event! I will check each class' program
on Jan. 27th. Please let your students practice more. Don't forget
to ask parent's help to let the students practice at home more.
Anyone who needs help for rearrangement of the music or something
else, please let us know.

Again thanks so much for your hard work. We are looking forward to
another excited and successful semester with everyone's effort!

Best regards!

Zou Feng
P.s. Teacher Nie: If you get this email, please give me a call ASAP.

Dear parents:

Please note that this week's schedule will be changed as I informed
previously. The entire schedule will be shifted 3 hours ahead. Our
school will start at 9:30 am, and end by 3:20 pm. The changed schedule
will be as follows:

12:30pm class will start at 9:30am
2:30pm class will start at 11:30am
4:30pm class will start at 1:30pm
2:50pm class will start at 11:50am

Since this Saturday is the last school day before the spring festival
gala, every class will practice their performing programs finally.
Some classes will have dress rehearsal. I really like to ask your help:
1) Encourage and help your children to practice and memorize their
parts of the performance.
2) Try your best to come to the school on time and dress your kids
according teacher's requirements, so that your kids will not miss the
final practice.

Chinese grade3&4 students will need to purchase a new test book this
week. 3rd graders need to buy $48 text book which will be used for a
whole year; 4th graders need to buy $10 text book which will be used
for the rest of this semester.

For parents of Chinese 1st grade & 5th grade students, please be aware
of that your children will have an end of session tests on this
Saturday. You may need to ask and help them to prepare for it.

For all the parents (especially moms) of Dance A class: there will be
a dress rehearsal on this Saturday's class. I hope you can come to
help your little ones to get ready for dress rehearsal (costume, hair
style, make up etc.) Please bring your own comb and make up stuff.
Also every student in this class needs to wear a white shirt for their
performing program.

For parents of Chinese 7th graders: we have a dress rehearsal on this
Saturday. Boys: white shirt, black pants, black shoes; girls:
beautiful dress.

Parents' big singing group will have dress rehearsal, too. Please
dress properly and come at 11:00am.

Thank you very much for parents who signed up volunteer sheet and food
donation sheet last week. We still need help for food donation.
Hopefully more parents will sign up for that .

We have already started to sell the admission tickets and ruffle
tickets for our 2007 spring festival gala since last week. We will
continually sell the tickets this week.

Finally, 2007 spring festival gala will be held on February 17 at the
auditorium of Delaware County Community College from 2:00 pm -- 5:00
pm. The address of DCCC is:
901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA19063 (across the street of our
Chinese school)
Hope you all can come and celebrate our spring festival together!

See you on Saturday!

Dear parents:

Happy New Year!

What a great success was our Chinese New Year celebration event! I
believe that most of you who attended the show had a wonderful time.
The feebacks we have got are very positive. On behalf of the school
I thank our teachers, parents, and students who contributed to the
event. It could not be completed so well without these supporters,
helpers, and participants. Let's continously work together to
operate our school better and better. Any ideas and suggestions are
very welcome to be shared with us.

Please note that there is no school this Saturday (2/24/07) as
posted on our website previously due to a church event.

Dear parents:

I hope that everyone had a relaxed and joyful Chinese New Year break!

Time is flying! It is the time again to plan the summer for your
children. Our 5th annual Main Line Chinese Culture Summer Camp starts
to register now. The information about this year's programs and
registration policies have been posted on our website already.

For the first time this year, we start a Chinese-English group for 11
to 13 years old. This group will conduct projects in both Chinese and
English. In the morning, they will review Chinese and conduct
Chinese Culture related projects; in the afternoon, we will spend
time on science projects, debating, collaborate arts, and literature
circles. Practices on Math, Language arts (English), and English
writings are also included in the afternoon.

For regular standard program, we also add more activities and
contents. We believe that this adjustment will make our summer camp
programs to be more attractive to our kids and parents. We are still
in the process of planning three special programs - tennis, piano
theory, and drawing. Once they are finalized, we will post related
information on our website to inform you soon.

The early registration for the summer camp is March 24th, 2007.
Please go to www.mlccc.org to check more details and download the
registration form. We encourage you to register for your child(ren)
as early as you can because the spots are limited (especially at
Wayne location). You can save $30 if you enroll before the deadline.
Please note that you only need to pay registration fee once instead
of per session. You may hand in your registration form and payments
during the regular Chinese school day or mail them to our mailing
address. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact
us.

Also I want to ask you to remind your children about the school
rules, especially during the recess time so that we can ensure the
safety of our students and the order of our school.

Dear Parents:

We were informed by Springton Lake Presbyterian Church several days
ago that there is an important church meeting on this Saturday
(3/17/07). This unexpected church event will affect our regular
school schedule. After negotiation with the church, we made a final
decision. On this Saturday all classes from 12:30pm to 2:20pm will
shortened to 1:30pm---2:20pm. Those classes are: Chinese
Kindergarten, Chinese 1A, Chinese 2A, Chinese 4, Dance B, and Art
12. The schedule of all other classes start from 2:30pm will remain
unchanged. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by
this schedule change. As we all know that there is a very close
relationship between school quality and school facility & location.
Taking this opportunity, I really like to ask all of our parents to
provide us any leads to find a best rental location for our school.
Anyone has special power or connections, please let us know and help
us on this.

Last Saturday our Main Line Chinese Culture Center and ACP together
hold a ball room dance party. The party was a huge success! More
than 100 people participated. Someone even came from New Jersey and
Delaware! About 30-40 of our parents joined the party. We had a
joyful time! Behalf of MLCCC I thank Mr. Li Hao (to co-organize),
Mr. Xiong, Qunbin (to produce music), Mr. Nie, Yinli (to teach
dances), and all the participants who made the dance party so
wonderful and excited! In the future we plan to organize or co-
organize more activities like this kind of dance party that our
parents like. Please share your ideas, suggestions with us. We hope
that our Chinese school is not only the place where our children can
learn better Chinese language and culture, but also a place where
our parents can gather together, make friends, be entertained, share
our traditions and background.

We are in the process of taking early registration of our 5th annul
summer camp. Lots of people are interested. Please enroll for your
children ASAP if you want to.

This Saturday's parents on duty are:

1st shift: Jeffery Zhou, Angela huang (starting from 1:20pm),
2nd shift: Jessica Xu, Kate Li
3rd shift: Jason Fung, Jim Huang

See you on Saturday!
