THANK YOU FOR VISITING MOM IS BLACK, DAD IS WHITE---Our new mission is to encourage Black/White mixed race people who identify with the Black community, or who support civil rights causes, and/or Black culture. We are against the idea of a national, official middle-race category of part-Black people. We feel an official middle-race has the potential to politically or otherwise, weaken or even devastate the greater Black community in America. Part-white mixed race people have always been a part of the Black race and/or community, and we personally feel that it is a good idea for us to remain so. Our group was started by B/W biracials (with White fathers) who realize that even though today it is trendy for mulattoes to identify as “non-Black”, there are in fact still many biracials who identify as Black.
