Hye Pagans....
....one and all.....
...Nevin here, and please dont mistake me for the "other one"....
       ;)
Seems like since the meeting and Simon's vacation, the egroups have been
real silent....Whats Going On?!?
Oh....i see....some of you probably need a leader to follow....in the
mean time you're all probably doing your own stuff,
reading your own books...etc etc etc....good luck....

As for the meeting, well i enjoyed it, although the wasn't much
dicussion about anything serious, i only enjoyed the part of meeting the
rest of you...interesting lot...but, in my eyes, its quite obvious that
there's no unity...could it be because of mistrust,
could it be complete "blur-ness", could it be no one wants to share
their experiences with others who don't seem to know squat about magick
in any form, or could it be that i'm talking too much and making a fool
of myself....either way i don't care...
;)
I'm pretty sure that the next meeting will only take place early next
year, cause Simon's coming back end of this month, and new year's around
the corner and everyone (or at least myself) is planning on where to go
Party!! So i think its gonna be the first week of January...anyone wanna
make any bets?? ;)

All in all it was nice meeting the lot of you, and i hope to meet up
again soon, but perhaps next time an environment change is in
order...any thoughts anyone?? Can't leave everything to our dear Simon,
now can we??
I suppose, just suppose, most of us are on the fence right now, lets see
which side we end up individually...the
serious-getting-down-to-business-side,...or the
i-don't-think-i-can-do-this-so-i-wanna-turn-away-side ??
You decide...
;)

I'f anyone thinks i say too much, please type back to me and make your
opinion known, after all nothing can be gained from keeping
silent..................

Blessed Be.....

Nevin

Pagans and Witches, Druids and Wiccans, Magicians and Dabblers,

How are you people getting along? I think tonight is a full moon
night,
praise the Lady for this potent night. It's a really good vacation
and once
again thank Goddess for computers and internets or else I wouldn't be
able
to get online 24 hours a day(yeah, like those in American movies) and
write
this message.

Thank you Aaron for writing in, nice to know that there are fellow
suscribers from Singapore, not to mention you've a larger pagan
community
over there... welcome aboard as our aim is not only to gather
Malaysian but
Asian Pagans as well.

Nevin, the tarot selections here are great, I've yet to visit the
occult
store but a trip to Barnes and Nobles is just as good. I saw the
Golden Dawn
by Israelie Regardie and also Triumph of the Moon, but I've yet to buy
(most
of the books are Starhawk and Cunningham versions or with silly
graphics),
waiting for my mother to go back before getting any of these... I'll
get
your stuff as soon as my mother goes home and I learn how to drive...

The group is pretty quite, well, I think everyone can chip in an idea
or
two... nobody's the leader around here, just write something, silly or
intellectual as you please...

Ewing, how's the trip... if you would like to chat with me on ICQ,
you may
find me about midnight or 12 afternoon...

How's everybody, make yourself present, won'tyou?

Blessed be,
Zen
Simon

In Malaysia they do have tarot cards in MPH, get yourself a book, go online
then learn from everywhere.
The FTN network is a fine place to start, you will be assigned under a
mentor, and then after some practice you would be able to read for public
request.
email freetarot@egroups.com

Blessings,
Aloes.

Simon Soon, I miss you damn it, where have you been?
You don't have to get me anything, I feel sorry for myself being unable to meet you and say farewell to you on wednesday(and give you the money for stuff)
Nevermind, I will be going to Singapore soon and I hope I could get something nice over there.
It's not 12:22 PM Malaysia, and you are online so is Syawal, I don't know why aren't you replying.
I think Syawal hates me now...always cursing me, always saying I am so bad.
Perhaps too many a time I pronounce him as the pain in our asses.
Are you enjoying yourself Simone? GO find some witches..so nice.

Merry Meet Aaron,
Nice meeting you here, would you like to speak through icq?
To all mypagan members, please add me to your icq list if it's ok,
I yearn to meet you all but just could not make it.
My icq number is 85322720

It's a bad time to come online now, because I have to go out soon,
and because almost everyone is online now. Sigh.

I hope you all had a beautiful full cold moon night,
and I wish dearly that we could share a celebration one day.

When shall we meet again?
Do we wait for Simone's return?

Happy day for me and I wish ya all well. :)

Aloes.

Merry meet,

First, I would like to announce a great news, suscription to this
egroup is up to 23 and secondly the bad news, which is nobody is
making a racket in this group, it's BOOO-RING!

So, Yule is around the corner, and I would like to share this story.
It was posted on some Christian Wicca mailing list if I'm not wrong
and I always think that this is a beautiful story.

Another thing is I would like to see discussions on this group rather
than purely, oh so you're a witch, aha, cool...
Bring up some topics!

Very well, here's the story from Santa(a very pagan character, isn't
he?)

He who found God
----------------

Well, it had been yet another bad day in the office, and once
again it was the fault of that new girl, MaryAnne. She is one of
those Wiccans, a so called witch. How can anyone in their right
mind make this claim, knowing that it goes against God and all
of the teachings of the bible?

She doesn't even have the common decency to keep her satanic
symbol, her pentagram necklace hidden from the view of the
decent, God fearing people in the office. She has some nerve. I
find that I cannot hate her for this though, for I know that she
has been deceived. Satan works his evil in ways that she cannot
see. I've seen that so called Wiccan Rede that she has tacked to
the wall above her computer. On the surface, it looks like a
decent loving belief, but all one must do is look, look closely
and see that by practicing this way, and not embracing Jesus
Christ as savior, she is on the pathway to hell.

As I've said, it was a bad day in the office. Three times in
the past few weeks I have been called in to see my supervisor,
and he has told me that I am not allowed to preach to MaryAnne
the word of God, to show her the error of her ways. Today, my
supervisor told me that if I continue to "harass" MaryAnne, he
will be forced to terminate me. How can he say this? He himself
is a God fearing man. And, how can he be so tolerant of the evil
that he sees insinuating itself into our workplace?

As I lay down to sleep last night, I asked the Lord for
guidance. "God, grant me a true vision of you, so that I may
better lead the faithless onto the righteous path". "Oh, a true
vision of Me is it? Are you sure that you're ready, truly ready
to see, my son?" I sat bolt upright in bed, and there, at the
foot of my bed, white of hair and beard, in a long, flowing
white robe, stood the Lord my God.

I made to leap from the bed and fall to my knees in front of
Him, but he stopped me with a gesture.

"Kneel not before me at this time my son. Instead, rise and
walk with Me, so that you may get a glimpse of what I truly am,
as you asked of me in your prayer".

He took my hand, and as I looked, my bedroom was no longer
there, but a pathway thru the woods. We started to walk, and I
was too awestruck for words.

We took the path to the left, and we were then inside St.
Catherine's Church, in the middle of a service. While still
standing beside me, God seemed to expand and fill the whole of
the church. I could see smiles of contentment forming on some of
the parishioners faces. I felt blessed. God smiled upon me."The
Catholics hold such pretty masses, don't they? I like to stop
here in this church, because not only do they speak the words,
but they live the life, thru teaching, helping the sick and
poor, not only with handouts, but helping them learn to help
themselves. Now let us walk on".

And we were back on the pathway.

We traveled a bit further along, and then were in the parlor of
a funeral home. A young woman was kneeling before the casket,
resting her head on it and crying. I could see by the
similarity, that this dead man must be her father.

God knelt beside her, and drew His arms about her. "Miss him,
that is all right, but weep not for him, for now he is with Me".
She wiped her eyes, and stood with a sad smile upon her face,
and said, "Goodbye Daddy. I'll miss you", and turned and left
the room.

And we were back on the pathway.

We walked a little ways, and we were in front of a large lodge
of some kind. I could hear music and laughter spilling out of
the windows. I turned to look at God, and was shocked to see,
not the flowing white robe, but Him wearing leather and animal
furs, his hair and beard now the color of wheat, and a sword
strapped across His back. He strode forth, and I saw him
approach a figure I had not seen before. As I looked close, I
was shocked to see that it was the same face that I had just
seen dead, but looking young and strong, and dressed in ancient
looking garb, an axe strapped to his waist.

God strode up to him and grabbed him in a great bear hug.
"Welcome my son. We've been waiting for you. Now, go inside and
raise a cup or two, and meet with your brother". And, with a
hearty slap on the back, he sent the man inside.

And then we were back on the pathway.

We walked a bit further, and then we were in a mosque. At least
I believed so, as I had never been in one before, but had seen
pictures of them.

The group of worshippers was not large, but i could see their
rapt faces as they listened to the, mullah?, speak. He was
speaking to them of purity, both of the mind and the body,
bringing them closer to Allah.

And as he spoke, God, dressed now in the robes of the desert,
walked among them and briefly laid his hands upon each set of
shoulders. And, from their faces, I could see that these men
knew that the words of the mullah were true, and that their
spirits felt touched by God.

And then we were back on the pathway.

After we had walked a bit, we found ourselves in an African
village. People with skin as black as night, the women with
their breast shamefully bared, were dancing in a circle, to the
rhythm of the drums being played by a group of men. Somehow
though, I was not offend by the bared breasts, and the music
seemed to seep into my soul.

God was then a mighty lion, and He let forth a mighty roar. The
villagers did not seem to hear, but the drums increased their
pounding, and the dancers danced with a frenzy.

And then we were back on the pathway.

We walked a bit more, and were on the top of a cliff. There
sat, painted and covered with feathers, and old Navajo man. As I
watched, he seemed to change into the form of an eagle and take
flight, and we were flying with him, soaring high into the air,
seeing the vista spread out below us.

And God, in the form of an eagle Himself, seemed to guide this
other eagle thru the air, over mountains and thru valleys, until
he came upon a group of men. As I watched, the old Navajo man
was no longer an eagle, but a young boy instead, and he sat at
the feet of these men, to listen to the words of his elders.

And then we were back on the pathway.

We traveled a bit, and then we were in a forest clearing. I
knew this place. It was known as a place of devil worship and
evil. In the center of the clearing roared a great bonfire, and
kiwi torches outlined a circle of sorts. Inside this circle, in
a circle themselves, stood 7 men and 6 women, dressed in robes
of varying colors, their arms raised to the moon.

Was that one woman MaryAnne? I really couldn't be sure. And God
walked among them in the circle, touching each one. He seemed
not to be an older man now, but as he made each of three turns
around the circle, he was first a young girl, bouncing with
energy, then a woman of middle years, with a tender smile for
all Her children, and finally, an old woman, body bent, but
holding Her head up with pride.

And a woman stepped forward, and yes, it was MaryAnne, and
lifted her head to the sky. "Great Goddess, Mother of us all,
thank you for joining us tonight. Stay if You will, go if You
must. Know in our hearts You will always be welcome. Blessed
be!!"

And we were back on the pathway.

As we walked along, ahead in the distance I saw the most
beautiful man. Yes, beautiful, though I would never normally
think of a man this way. With blonde hair, and a golden robe, he
seemed to radiate sunshine.

God and this golden man nodded to each other as they passed,
sharing a smile together. "My Lord" I asked, "was that an
angel?" "Well, yes, he is known as that to some. He is also
known to some as a God himself. That was Lucifer"

And His words caused me to stumble. I couldn't believe that we
had just passed the ultimate evil. God looked at me, and He knew
my mind. And he chuckled a bit.

"Think about it logically My son. The Lucifer that you know is
a fallen angel, cast out of heaven for challenging Me. If I am
the all powerful being, above all others, how could he do this?
How could I allow it?"

"But, in the bible...." I stammered.

"The Bible is a wonderful book, as are the Kuran and the Torah
and many others, but they are just books, written by the hand of
man, not written by Me. And, it's a bit confusing as well if the
truth be known, but that's not up to Me to fix. These books are
wonderful, but only as guidance's, for each man and woman must
think for themselves".

And, I believed He was right in this.

"Now, come forth, we must journey a little more before you go
back." And He took my hand once again.

As we followed the pathway, we soared thru the stars, listening
to the music of the heavens, we became a little flower and a
mighty oak, we became a babbling brook, and a mighty ocean. We
flitted from flower to flower as a little honey bee, and ran
across the plains as a mighty stallion.

And, all too soon the pathway returned us to my home.

God held my hand a moment longer, and smiled into my face. "My
son, you prayed tonight for a true vision of Me. For vision, you
must only open your eyes and see what there is to see. Good
night to you".

And then He was gone, and I was back in my bed.

A dream I thought, only a dream, that couldn't have been real.
At that time, a bolt of lightning lit up my room thru the
window, and thunder crashed thru the sky, and I thought I heard,
from seemingly far away, "Remember, the Lord works in mysterious
ways My son".

This morning as I entered the office, I went to the machine for
a cup of coffee, and standing there, I spied MaryAnne. As I
approached her, I could see her barely cringe, and I could see
in her face that she was expecting yet another onslaught from me
and my book.

She seemed to cast her eyes about for a way to escape, but
there was none.

I walked up to her and smiled. "I think I owe you a bit of an
apology" I said. "I've been a bit narrow minded of late, and I
really had no right to subject you to what I did. It's not up to
me to say how you find your path to your spirit, and I was wrong
to think that was so".
Dear All,
This is a posting I received from a traditional witchcraft group...
it's a
very interesting story, however, there's a part about Lucipher that
many
might not agree... whatever it is, let not that particular episode
spoils
the true meaning of the entire splendour of the Gods.

MaryAnne just stood there, not knowing what to say.

"So, I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry, and I hope you
will forgive my trespass. God bless you MaryAnne,
and...uh....Blessed Be?"

You know, I always thought that it was just a saying, about
peoples jaws dropping to the floor, but MaryAnne did her best at
that moment to prove me wrong.

thank you for joining us tonight.

You know, I always thought that it was just a saying, about
peoples jaws dropping to the floor, but MaryAnne did her best at
that moment to prove me wrong.

have loved to meet you all...
Anyway, how's everybody getting ready for Yule?

Enough for today,

Hye ... pagans , one and all...

So i hear something about a "Yule Holiday"??
...forgive my ignorance, but i know not what that means...do explain....does it
have something to do with Christmas??

Mr.Ng Eng Chong...you wanna learn to use the tarot, right? Did it not occur to
you that this being Malaysia, there's no "classes"
that you might attend to learn to read the cards?? Get a book already! Even
i'm a beginer at the tarot, its a slow process to master the meanings and
symbolisme of each card...But it Can be done...Depends largely on your rate of
understanding and
capacity for memory... ;)
           ....welcome to the group.........

Eweing...how you doing, man.? It seems to me that you're really interested in
having another meeting (seeing that you missed the first one), here's a
thought...organize one... I on the other hand, would'nt mind attending one but
absolutely no way in organizing it...i dont have the mood... By the way, me
thinks you outta make ammends with Syawal...

Simon, my man... So U.S. must be great for you, the weather must be kinda cold,
huh? Is it snowing?
I loved that story you posted...excelent.....the fact that God and Lucifer
nodded to one another, really got me thinking....
It must be that way...Lucifer know its a lost cause to try to overthrow God and
he best not make a 2nd mistake...
So he probably acccepted his punishment, and having a blast of a time at the
greatest party in eternity, held way way down under, if you know what i
mean....ehheheeh
God and Lucifer, although they may be a little ticked off with one another,
they got the bigger picture and its not wise to hold a grudge for to long,
right? So they just go about doing their own things...
Does anyone agree?? or Not??

Simon , don't trouble yourself too much with my stuff, its okay...if you can't
get it...question, why do you have to wait for your mum to go back first? Will
she search your stuff or what?? and...why did you say "when i learn to
drive"?? That'll take your forever!! ;) jus'kiddin' Try to meet-up
with some other pagan, or wiccan over there and tell me some stories when you
get back!

Did anyone hear that since about 4-5 days ago and for the next few weeks, earth
is being bombarded by (NO! Not Asteroids!)
but by Photon Energy from space!! They still don't know what the effect will be
on people and animals...Just way too much energy on earth...must figure out a
way to harness it if possible....will it enhance our spell casting
effectiveness and efficiency??
It seems that this same thing happened somewhere in July this year, but only
lasted a couple of days... If anyone can find out from any info sources on this
subject, please state what you know and reply A.S.A.P......

Aaron K...welcome....So whats the pagan's in Singapore up too this time of
year? How are their attitudes towards their beliefs?
The reason i ask is because, well...you're
the first Singaporean Wiccan that i can speak (or rather type)
too... Basically i just wanna know "What are
you like??"

Aislin Wildrose....Hye...your name sounds increadibly delicious...if words can
be tasted, i bet yours would be like cherries...;)
And , to put your mind at ease, i'm Not trying to
Hit on you....ok?
So since you're not in Malaysia...where exactly are
you?? Do tell, Do tell.....

The Full Moon for the past three nights have been awesome...especially last
night...it was high up in the sky (where else?),
fully rounded, bright white, and immensely beautifull....I felt like the
Goddessess of the Moon (Isis, Selene & Diana & others whom i don't know yet)
were actually there sending me their blessings and power...it either could be
them or the bloody photon rays!! ;)
Well, i think thats enough from me for today....Somebody please type back
soon...

Bye and take care...
...Blessed Be...

Hello all,

I did not have the experience like Nevin for the full moon rites,
but today in the afternoon, as i was crying (yes, i was somehow so sad),
i walked out to my garden.
and pretended to be gautama buddha, (sitting under a tree)
and as i close my eyes,
i thought there was a waterfall,
only to realize that it was my pond's filter at work.
i don't know how to say it,
but for a mere 10 minutes or so,
i was no longer sad, and finally smiling.
when i look at the bees, when a grasshopper suddenly appeared and truly
freaked me. when the wind comes when i just feel so good.

yeah, simon thanks for getting me stuff with your own money,
but if it troubles you please don't do it.
it's my fault not to hand you money of mine.
i'm sure you will come back with many toys right? :)

Yes i am so interested in meeting again,
since i truly didn;t meet anyone.

Yule...:)
Shit! I will be out with my parents by the time Yule comes..
And i wouldn't be able to even celebrate it by myself.
So this is what i get laughing at Simon for celebrating his yule in US alone.
Hey SImon are you alone? Or do you already have your pagan friends there?
Do come back with many stories. :)

Anyone wanna talk about Green Withcraft?
I had a little definition of it from another witchcraft egroup,
Green witchcraft is traditional witchcraft based on stregga,
italian and romanian gypsy witchcraft that also incorporates some
 celtic god/desses

i see that it will not be all for that.
i could find little source regarding this.

Hey Nevin the man with many books, anything about this?

Shall we gather one day?

Sincerely,
Ewing (Nevin, the correct spelling is EWE WING) :p

Good day Pagans,

It's still snowing right here in the mid west, it stopped for a day
though
and it came again. Nevin, Yule Holiday is a traditional Celtic holiday
which
is what Christmas is all about. The Romans also celebrate this season
as
Saturnalia which is actually a derivation from Egyptian celebration
and it
lasted for twelve days, hence the modern twelve day of Christmas.

Modern day pagans celebrates Yule on the 21st though there really is
no
restriction on whether when it should be celebrated. My personal
choice will
be on good old Christmas and Christmas ebe where everyone gets a good
laugh
and a hearty meal together, Christians and Pagans(though I'm the only
pagan
around!)

Hello Ng Eng Chong, excuse my formalities, I suggest meeting up with a
tarot
reader over at Silverfish bookstore. She comes every Friday afternoon
and
you might love to get a few face to face pointers from her... Get a
book,
that would be good.

Nevin, I can't find a Golden Dawn tarot deck, I might opt for a Rider
Waite
sooner or later... but I really love the Golden Dawn book, the more I
visit
the bookstore the more I yearn to get the book gosh, I can't wait to
own
it.,, Yes, US has been great... your introspection on Lucipher is kind
of
interesting though to me, Lucipher is still more of a frolicking roman
God
rather than a fallen angel, because Lucipher is a Roman name and
adapted
only by later authors to metaphorically describe Satan which is not
very
true, I might say... Lucipher has no room in my mind for evil and
Satan is
really men who do evil and those who does evil and puts the blame on
supernatural forces. I tend to think of the story I sent as a good
example
of man creating God in his image! And it's not something bad at
all...as
Carl G. Jung stress in his books on man and symbols. And of course
there is
Dion Fortune and her The Sea Priestess, often reiterated by beloved
Doreen
Valiente, 'All Goddesses are one Goddess, all Gods are one God, and
there is
one initiator.'

I do know how to drive remember? I just need to get use to driving on
the
right side of the road, but it's too snowy(usually isn't), therefore I
need
to wait a few days for the snow to clear up before any attempt. I will
try
to get your stuff as soon as I can, meanwhile, I'm just hanging about,
wil
try to meet some pagans at the store though, if I ever get down one of
these
days.

Ewe Wing, why don't you try organize a meeting with Syawal, that'll
keep all
of y'all going for the moment. What do you say about that? Sorry about
the
webpage thingy, did you have a hard time with mr Chin? I think we
ought to
really help him since he did a great deal with our literature lessons.

You spoke about the Photon Energy, Nevin, and I've not encounter any
articles about it so far... where did you read that? It's kinda
interesting the way you describe it and I would really love to know
more about it should anyone has more information about it.

Anybody watched Fantasia 2000? Yeah, I know you might think it's a
Disney
kids Cartoon, but my brother fell asleep over it. It's actually a
programme
of ochestra music accompanying animation. And it's really cool.
There's a
piece entitled "Rhapsody in blues' which was jazzy and meaningful...
and of
course, why the hell would I mention a cartoon programme in a witch
mailing
list if there's nothing to do with paganism per se. There's the last
piece,
I can't remember the music, but it's the last piece in the Fantasia
programme.

The animation is a story about life, death and renewal. The symbolism
is
very strong and in fact also very strongly similiar to The Legend of
the
Descent(or Descent of the Godess), the one performed on the second
degree
initiation in Gardnerian witchcraft. The Goddess is potrayed as a life
giver, and the God comes as the 'life and the giver of life, yet he is
also
the knowledge of death'(yes, I know it sounds Crowleyean, but it's a
beautiful statement). The God is potrayed as the Stag(life) and also
the
volcanic falcon-like monster(death). It's very meaninful piece,
endearing
in everymoment, except death, and heart warming ending with a striking
cord
of what nature is really all about and its value of death as something
that
makes life even more precious. Get the VCD or something, I'm sure
you'll
enjoy that.

Lastly, I traveled back from a drive one evening, about five, the sun
already set, living a strip of glow on the horizontal backdrop of the
town, which was lighted in spots and very country. The scenery was
very National Geogrphic and I fell in love with it, but what really
got me is that cross with neon light glowing its radiance, hanging
outside a church. It got me thinking for a moment, all my life, I've
this fear for churches, I thought it might be the witch blood and does
that attribute of me being demonic?

I asked myself many times and many time I do justify that there's no
such fear. The glow was rather inviting, that glow was what I call
divine, beyondthe boundaries of your God and my Christ and you're the
devil if you're not with me. So, I thought what I fear along was only
the people inside, and nothing to do with the Divine because we all
see it in many faces, we live with the image we think is best for us.
Let's face it, even in a monotheist religion, never two person sees
God in the same aspect. So, if this rambling doesn't fit into your
mindset, argue with me :) though I prefer you to come over here and
see that glow and perhaps feel that glow that showers upon all of us.

Well, that's a long letter I guess, I hope more letters will be coming
in
from other silent people lurking in the back curtains. Remember, this
is the
broom closet, you're not exposed to the public, so speak up!

Okay, see you gusy around. Write soon, I dread to read more letters!

Blessed be,
Zenith
Simon

p.s. I seriously don't really need a craft name anymore...

Barbara, I really don't know what green witchcraft is, that's the reason i
post it here.

Nevin, why not you go on explaining about that photon energy? what is
photon?

Simon, if possible, would you see if there are any tarot cards of nudity? or
the bats and skeleton version, and check the price. If you have too many
things to get i can send the money over. And do speak more of all your
knowledge and witchcraft history more often, i enjoyed your mail.

Syawal...hahahaha, good luck to klang.:)

HYE paganists & the others...

Lets me see...what to say today?....hmm....I'm currently at a blurr....

Ewe Wing...You give me way to much credit when you said that "i have a
lot of experience in the full moon rites"
(although you didn't use the word "alot"), I'm still learning i haven't
got a clue about more than half of the moon rites...
I've read up on some of them, and practically never practice any ritual
for the full moon...I have my own way of dealing with the moon...it may not
be all that efficient, but given time and frequency of it...it works too,
with hardly any magic involvement,
mostly calming down, relaxing, followed by a small personal prayer, and a
long discussion with the Moon....
Good to hear that you cried that day, and i don't mean it in a bad
sense...Sometimes there's just way to much to handly at any one time,
especially when its personal and plays a major role emotionally...Crying
always help you feel better when you're done with it...Crying clenses the
soul.... You've probably worked stuff out already, right?
The moment i read the words you typed.."Green Witchcraft", Druids popped
into my head...I personally recall that i saw it somewhere, but can remember
where, but i'll search for it...It must be strongly tied in with nature, and
of course, the Gods & Goddesses... ;)

Hey, Barbara the Tissue-Tearer, how you been? Perhaps you should re-read
Simon's letter again...you might get it then...
So, have you tormented any other tissues lately? heheheheheh
   ;)

Sye...Keep searching and you'll find the Golden Dawn deck...Since you plan
to study from the Golden Dawn book by Regardie, I suggest that you get the
Golden Dawn deck, for it is the Deck featured in the book, isn't it? You
will understand and learn the golden dawn tarot better with the official
book...
Have you check the net for the closests occult shop near you? Perhaps Avatar
can help?

The Divine is present everywhere, you must just know where to look...right?
About your fear of churches...you said its most likely the people within,
how they may think of you, etc....
Perhaps its just something within you which still has a little doubt?
Like, for instance, you were born into Christianity, and now you choose to
be a Pagan because if feels more right for you, you can do a bit of both,
nomatter how much you may like paganism and magic, there's still the side of
you which is probably still confused about the whole matter.... I'm not sure
if i'm correct here, but its a thought, ....
Furthermore, its been imprinted in most peoples minds that ... witchcraft is
regarded with fear and uncertainty, though it provides a social function by
enabling the redress of wrongs and grievances, and hope for the end of
illness and problems...
I think i've lost myself in my thoughts and words.... say something about
this.....

I remember when i was about 11 yrs, i went to UK with my aunt and uncle, in
our travels, we decided to visit the Canterbury Cathedral, its an ancient
Church...been standing for hundreds of years, the mere sight of it was, as i
remember it, it was Awesome and frightening, but very intriging to me....so
we went in, the statues, the walls, the ceiling, the floor, all of which is
amazing, i could feel the energy the moment i stepped in... the smell of the
place, is the smell of old old wood and stone, mortar and incense.... there
was hundreds of candles by the alter, since everyone else was light one, i
lit one too... Even said a short prayer, felt a little awkward at first but
later i felt this overwhelming calmness, then i went sight seeing around the
cathedral, where they allowed people... All in all since then i can relate
to Christianity very easily, that and the fact that stories and tv shows and
movies have gotten me used to it also.... I dont really see the point of me
typing all this out, but looks like i did, and it'll be a waste to delete,
so i guess i better burden the all of you to read this.......

Anywaysss...Here's something interesting i just read up, some of you might
like it...do share your thoughts on the matter...
Psychism of Plants...The teory that plants aresensitive to the thoughts and
emeotions of people around them, and have themselves emotions, memory, and
powers that enable them to communicate with people. This notion leads all
the way back to ancient times, when plants were perceived to possess magical
powers. Even modern researchers have experimented with plant psi since the
1960s, but results have been largely inconclusive. Nonetheless, many people
who have cared for plants attest to their sensitivity to their environment
and caretakers. Any plant can grow when given enough love.Studies have shown
that plants are surrounded by energy fields that may be dowsed. Plants also
seem to be influenced by human thought, emotion, and intent... the well
being or demise of other living things around them and of course, to music.

I for one believe in this, since i can remember, i recall even my grandma
used to say "don't harm trees and plants for no reason, because its cruel
and painfull to them"...i followed her advice to an extent... ;)
Do share.... C'mon Barbara...what do you think??

With that i shall end my letter...

My, how splendid a page with the list of books and tarot decks. I particularly favour the book titled Merlyn, The Lost Books. And the sacred circle tarot deck. Will get them soon enough. But well, it's irritating as the exchange rate is at such horror...plus the shipping cost, SIGH. But thank you so much, it's a wonderful site! :)

Simon Have you got me a tarot deck yet? If not I could get it through net I figured. Thanks. :)

Eh, Simon, look at the site Aislin gave, the dragon sword, isn't it so apt as our ritual sword?

I would like to offer some tarot reading (for my learning actually)
anyone wanna help?
Do pose your question here or send it to me. :)

Actually, are members in this egroup members of Aiyana Freyja?
How many do we have in our long forgotten coven?

Did anyone of you catch discovery channel exploring witches' torture?
If yes, could you tell me more about it?
My sister told me there's this thing some time ago but did not remember the details.

Found this from the Witches Cauldron,

Traditional Italian carol

Thou descended from the stars,
Oh, my bambino.
Here I see you now,
Here a-trembling,
Do not tremble so
for here is your mother.

Mother's Night

The Scandinavian and Germanic tribes of Europe originally named their months of December and January Yule. Their great midwinter feast occurred in January, but the 24th or 25th of December was known as Mother's Night. This night--with slight shifts in the calendar over the centuries--was Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. It is this night before which every evening becomes ever darker, and after which daytime light slowly grows until peaking at Summer Solstice.

The night was sacred to the triple Goddess who created (maiden), sustained (mother) and took away life (crone), but most especially to the great Earth Mother who labors all night on Solstice to give birth to the sun baby, thereby returning light to the world. Christian imagery of the Mother and baby shining with halos of light, as well as the holy star directly descend from ancient Goddess religions.

On Mother's night, one family member baked "Care Cakes," ( to the Romans--placentae) which they served to the rest of the family still in bed. This celebratory role play served to dramatize the laboring and birth giving that the Great Mother had done. As the Swedes believed the maiden aspect of the Goddess is the light bringer of mid-winter, Mother's Night gradually became the Swedish feast of St. Lucia: whereby one honored daughter of the family, dressed in white and wearing a candle-lit crown of greenery on her head, brings Yule breakfast to her fresh woken family. Younger siblings wear tall pointed caps decorated with stars, playing the newer children of light. Much older Norse myths describe Fenrir the Wolf swallowing the sun and giving birth to it after the Solstice. Other connections exist between Yule and Mother/Child in France, where into the 1960's, women gathered together on Christmas Eve to sew baby wear for pregnant friends and for the local poor.

Fa la la la la, la la la la
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
'Tis the season to be jolly,
Don we now our gay apparel,
Toll the ancient Yuletide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la
See the blazing Yule before us,
Strike the harp and join the chorus,
Follow me in merry measure,
While I tell of Yuletide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Fast away the old year passes,
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Sing we joyous all together,
Heedless of the wind and weather...
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Sing Ho! Sing Hey! For Yuletide Day, twine mistletoe and holly;
for friendship grows in winter snows, and so let's all be jolly.

Don't be irritated, just feel like sharing it, such a mood to celebrate Yule now. :)

Can't sleep,
Aloes.

Merry Meet once again Pagans and Dabblers,

This is going to be a long letter in response to all postings for the
past
few days, and please bear with me, since I've nothing muhc to do when
I'm
back from shoppings and city trips, this is a great opportunity for
me to
spend sometime other than watching cartoon network(my brother
occupies the
TV).

Speaking about green witchcraft, I did see a book with that title in
Barnes
and Nobles, I think it is roughly related to earth magic, nature
magic in
particular. But I'm no expert in catergorizing witchcraft and I do
think
that we need not place too many labels to limit a person to a certain
field
when witchcraft is such a subject we must learn the whole all
together for
the best of our interests.

Dear Barbara, how are you getting along? Sorry that you don't
understand the
letter, but I wasn't talking about the sun, was I?

Nevin, what you suggested may be true, I do consider myself a
Catholic, sort
of a liberal one, since I do have leanings more to Theosophical
teachings
rather than the Roman Catholic Church. There are a lot of things in
religion
which I do not favor and I much prefer if we don't spend so much
money on
building a network of churches with perfect stain glass and rich
floorings
or on evangelism booklets to condemn other religions, rather use the
money
to help the poor. Much of the profit from collections can be use to
relieve
the unbearable conditions on third-world country. I don't think I've
fear
for the joyous faces of older folks in churches, happily singing the
hymns
away, my fear lies in those who persecute without reasoning... maybe
I've
been indulging myself with too much of hate literature, sometimes,
should
stop my masochistic behaviour of tormenting myself with hate
literature....
and get on with my own life...

I was brought up quite differently from you. I was brought up with the
mentality of strangeness even to the Chinese Temples whenever I
visited
those when I was young. My aunt was particular about the food we ate
during
Chinese New Year celebrations, that the food should never be offered
to
Pagan Gods... I was brought up not to pray to Pagan Gods or even
Buddha and
so the transformation in the recent years was pretty hard, but I
managed
well. I went through the phase of acceptance during 16 year old and
the
phase of rebirth during 17 year old... I don't really see the point
about
typing this out, but just to share some of my experience on my path.

The notes you shared on psychism of the plants are interesting. It
might
well be true. What is regarded as 'Animism' (I just hate that word, it
sounds so condescending) is actually in a way explainable...of course,
everything has to turn logical before it is accepted in the scientific
circle, I think we're not too far away from that...thank you for the
interesting glimpse into our green friends.

Ewing, MyPagan is not a coven, it is a mailing list. We have Navin
and Cian
around too (I just added them though). MyPagan is not for Aiyana
Freyja,
speaking about it, I think it's high time we talk seriously about the
next
step as soon as I get back.

I think I shall stop here before I get too engrossed. Fare-thee-well.

Blessed be,
Zen
Simon
p.s. I've finally got Triumph of the Moon, I feel so Triumphant, it's
such a
great book, tracing a history of modern pagan witchcraft!

Hi guys.

I'm new to this group, and a novice in the field of magick and witchcraft.
It feels so good that I can finally talk to other Malaysian Pagans!
Feel so lonely here!!

Did anyone watch yesterday's 'Charmed' on NTV7? It's such a great insult
to Wicca, and it refered Kali (the Hindu dark goddess, which some Wiccans
consider her as the crone aspect of the Goddess) as an evil spirit!

Since Christians were taught that their god is the 'one and only true god',
so the pagan deities must be false gods and demons in disguise. I read the
Bible and it frequent condemns the worshipping of other Gods, e.g. Baal,
Asherah, Moloch, Tammuz, and even Zeus and Diana. As stated in the Bible:

"...the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and
not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils."
(Corinthians 10:20-21)

But strangely enough, King Solomon did worship many of the pagan gods in his
old age, he even built temples dedicated to these gods!

Does anyone here practice the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram?
