• Dear Colleagues,
  Here is the list of a dozen new phenomenological organizations that we were informed of in response to our call in this newsletter some time ago. Please excuse how I kept waiting for more responses before conveying this list. Of course we are pleased to know of these organizations, but I confess I was hoping to hear of more. After all, there are some 4,000 subscribers to this newsletter now. It occurs to me that there probably are many more groups in existence, but they are small and informal. In that case, let me mention that many organizations have only a dozen members, that they meet in private homes to discuss texts, and that they can easily decide on a name, somebody to be the contact person, and perhaps create a website as well. If a group goes on to pay dues and become a formal member of the Organization of Phenomenological Organizations, it can send two delegates to meetings of OPO (http://www.o-p-o.net/), which will meet next in Australia. So I hope that other organizations in our tradition will contact us at InfoPhenomenology@....
