Alioramus remotus was a Tyrannosaurid and thus related to Tyrannosaurus rex.
Fossils of it have been found in the Ingenii Hoovor Valley of Bayankhongor,
Mongolia. It lived during the Maastrichtian (71-65 million years ago), which was
the last subperiod of the Cretaceous. It had a length of 5-6 meters and is
believed to have weighed about a ton.
Alioramus had six horn-like bumps on its snout. This makes it an anomaly of
the Tyrannosauridae family. There were 18 maxillary teeth, which is more than
what most Tyrannosaurids had.
The taxonomy of Alioramus is:
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Archosauria
Order: Saurischia
Suborder: Theropoda
Family: Tyrannosauridae
Genus: Alioramus
Species: Alioramus remotus

P.S. Fossils of Tyrannosaurus rex have been found in both North America and
Mongolia. Tyrannosaurus and its cousins were certainly wide ranging. Fossils of
the genus Siamotyrannus have been found in Thailand.
