Hi everyone and WELCOME to the Pilgrim's Landing Listserve. A Listserve is a
type of message board that provides a common gathering place for groups of
people, in the case - the wonderful home owners of Pilgrim's Landing in
Bellevue, Nebraska.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS GROUP SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A MAJORITY OF THE
NEIGHBORHOOD INVOLVED IN THIS. BE SURE TO TELL NEW NEIGHBORS ABOUT IT WHEN THEY
MOVE IN!

My sister lives out in Washington DC and Neighborhood Listserves are very
popular out there. In fact, she became part of a regional news story this past
Halloween. When she returned home from trick or treating with her two kids, my
4-Year old nephew, Sam, found a diamond wedding ring in his bag of candy. My
sister posted that she found the ring in the bag on her neighborhood's listserve
and, within an hour, an elderly lady who lived a block away from her, contacted
her through the listserve and correctly identified the ring.

The Pilgrim's Landing Listserve will be a place to post lost and found items,
advertise services (like babysitting, lawn mowing, and snow removal), post
neighborhood events, ask questions, introduce yourself, report suspicious
activity, trade tips, hints, and tricks for a variety of things, and post if you
are looking for something specific (great if you just moved into the
neighborhood).

To my knowledge, we are the first neighborhood in Bellevue to offer a listserve
and I think it can be very helpful use of technology. I am hoping we can get a
copy of the neighborhood covenant posted here (I have never seen this document,
but I have heard it exists).
