I downloaded this, and it is a pretty nifty program; however (as a coder myself), the problem can be remedied in code.

Also, I've noticed that sometimes magic button doesn't load, or closes itself.

Hi,

Has anyone been able to export the LXX+ to Pocket E-Sword?

I cannot get BeST to export it.

If anyone has some advice as to how I might do this, I would
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

The very best way is to convert it to Microsoft Reader format. It is
easy to do. Any book you can put into Word, you can convert to Reader.
Reader runs very well on a PDA. I several hundred books, the average
size of a full length book is 200K to 500K. Tozer's Pursuit of God is
only 191K (that is tiny!)

Here are the steps:
1. Get book or article into WORD.
2. Format it, and add Table of Contents
3. Use the free "read-in" add-on for Word that will convert the Word
doc to a Reader file.
4. Copy the file to the PDA that has Reader installed.

I programmed one of the front buttons of my Dell Axim with Reader, and
another button with e_sword, and I can toggle between the two instantly.

Of course, Knowledge of The Holy is still copyrighted, I believe, so
can not be shared.

Look what this guy wrote in the year 1999, about our present day
wars with Iraq, about the World Trade Center bombings, and
about how our every day life would soon be like in America. All
of it obviously describing these and a zillion other things, years
before they ever took place. As Americans we had better hope
his last prophecies are not as accurate as the eighty or so that are
spelled out in these 1999 prophecies. All of it documented with
over a hundred recent photos. Better hope this guy is wrong with
his very descriptive prophecies re: the America he says we are

While you, and many others, may find this person's predictions fascinating, it is inappropriate for you to post them to this forum.  Your post has absolutley nothing to do with Pocket E-Sword, and thus it is just spam.  Shame on you.  I wish the moderator would control this kind of thing better.

This person (these persons?) pop into many a Yahoo group. I’ve seen this spam several times before. The only way a moderator can absolutely “control” such things is to require every post to have approval before going to the group. Few of us have time to moderate to that degree.

If I am not mistaken you have to use ActiveSync to copy the xml file to a
folder on your Pocket PC device. Then use BPeST, on your Pocket PC, to convert
it there.

I can't remember if you have the option of telling it where to put the
converted file or not... But, moving it isn't all that hard using Windows
Explorer and ActiveSync.

I've only converted a few files and that's been a while ago... ©¿©

I have my Pocket e-sword on my CF card. When I use BPest it places the
converted xml files in my Pocket e-sword file in my main memory. Esword
doesn't see it unless you change the resource location. At which point
it would recognize you bibles, etc on your CF or SD card. So I just
copy it the new file to my Pocket e-sword file on my CF Card. Hope that
helps.

Actually, I believe Rick recommends that the Pocket e-Sword Application and CESQL app be installed in Main Memory (for stability sake)

And, put the Module Resources on the CF or SD Card...

You can do it with BeST--You will find that in the e-sword-tools yHOO

By the way, the NIV and NET don't work in my Sprint MOGUL PC6800 phone
