I just noticed that Mars Hill Church is having an event on November
4th for "single women 30 and above" that some of you (not naming
anyone specific, hehe) might be interested in. (Obviously, I won't
be going.)


Women's Ministry Event: Maturity in Singleness: An event for single
women 30 and above

Each stage of life holds unique challenges for Christian women. Mars
Hill has a growing number of women in a stage with its own
particular struggles--the stage we'll call Mature Singleness. This
stage is loosely defined as single women over 30, including those
divorced, widowed, and never married. At this Women's Ministry
Event, we'll tackle this stage from 2 different perspectives. First,
we'll look at it in continuity with other stages of life, examining
the similarities of the emotional battles and temptations we face
from one stage to the next. Second, we'll look at the particular
issues women face that are unique at this specific stage. The goal
will be encouragement that you are not alone in the battles you face
and that God has made a way for you to overcome with joy in this
stage of life. Finally, we'll end with a panel question and answer
time so that a wide variety of questions and issues can be discussed
