Here is a list of just some of the events that the Encounter is
doing in the next few weeks!


MINIATURE GOLF CHALLENGE

Date: May 31 (Sat)
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $9

Location: Willows Run Golf Course - Rainbow Run, 10402 Willows Rd.
NE, Redmond

Rainbow Run is a themed eighteen hole putting course that is fun for
the entire family. The design of the course features different
special effects and journeys through four different climate zones.


BBQ AT THE HUTCHERSONS'

In place of the regular Encounter meeting, Pastor Hutch has invited
us all to his house for a barbecue!

Date: Wednesday, June 4
Time: 5:00 p.m. (or whenever you can get there)
Place: The Hutchersons' in Redmond (directions available this
Sunday)


ROLLER SKATING

When was the last time you put on a pair of skates? Here's your
chance to relive those exciting days (or, if you're like me, the one
day I tried it just a few years ago)!

Time: Saturday, June 7 @ 8:00 p.m.
Place: Skate King in Bellevue

2301 140th Ave NE
Bellevue, Wa 98005

(in the back of the shopping center on 140th Ave. between NE 24th
St. and the 520 freeway with the Baskin Robbins and Wibbley's)

Cost: $5 cover charge (not necessary if you are not skating), plus
$1.50 for regular skate rental or $4 for inline skates.


SOCIAL DANCING AT THE ROCKIN' HORSE

Date: Saturday, June 21, 2008 (Christian Singles Night)
Time: Doors open at 7:15 pm, lesson at 7:30 pm, dancing at 8:00 pm
Cost: $12.00 for the lesson and dance
Location: Rocking Horse Dance Barn in Renton

The dance starts at 8:00 and goes until Midnight with Ron Bolin, The
Dancin' DJ playing your favorite hits from all the decades with
Rock 'n' Roll, Top 40, R and B, Swing, Ballroom, Latin and even some
Country.


SERVICE PROJECTS

In addition to these fellowship activities, the Encounter provides
service opportunities.

Blessings from Heaven (BFH) acquires donated pre-owned furniture and
other items in good condition. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday, we help
deliver them to individuals and families in need throughout the
Greater Seattle Area. There are several 2 hour time slots to choose
from for serving.

Union Gospel Mission Meal Serving -- A great opportunity to put our
hands and feet (and smiles) into the service of God by helping feed
homeless adults in our area.

Carpool Location: Houghton P&R at I-405 & NE 70th Pl
Time: Leave carpool site at 10:30 AM; or meet at UGM at 11:00
AM


WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Join us and Pastor Hutch for the Encounter at its regular weekly
time and place on Wednesday, June 11, at the SDA Church in
Kirkland! We are currently studying 1 Corinthians chapter 4.

And don't forget to join us afterwards at TGI Friday's in Kirkland
for great fellowship and conversations and getting to know one
another!
