Jill,

Just curious... how long as your young adult group existed? The
reason I ask is because, while it sounds like a really great group
to be a part of right now, I wonder how probable it is that it'll
follow the same pattern of my last church--the singles being hit by
a "marriage wave", where the singles either pair off or find
marriage partners from outside the group, faster than new singles
join the group, thus turning the group into a predominantly married
couples group within a few years. That's one disadvantage that I
see in a group where you mix singles and married couples, it tends
to have unstable demographics in the long run. Whereas, a singles
group will always be a singles group. But then that's just been my
experience, and I don't know if it's the norm.

Young Adults Group (single and married people in their 20's and
30's) has flourished -- takes the "dating" pressure off....

I can't say that I've ever seen it as a meat market, either. Mostly, I have heard people say that they thought it would be a meat market, so they didn't attend...
