I guess all of us are clueless as far as things to do around Seattle!
Or maybe we're just all into our own thing. I can name the best
places to go swing dancing in Seattle, but that doesn't help if you're
not into swing dancing. (You're more than welcome to come join me
sometime, though!) I did one of the Argosy Cruises, the one that
tours the Seattle harbor, and I've been wanting to do the others, like
the Locks Cruise or the one of Lake Washington that leaves from
Kirkland.
You actually live pretty close to the Sammamish River Trail, which is
perfect for biking. Whenever I walk on it, I always have to stay
right on the edge in order to avoid getting in the way of all the
bikers. It starts in Marymoor Park in Redmond and follows the
Sammamish River all the way to the northern tip of Lake Washington in
Kenmore, then continues into Seattle, and from there I forget where it
goes. The closest entry point to you would be along NE 145th St, just
a couple of miles east of where you are. I think there's a little
parking lot there, on the other side of the river from that big
resort, whatever it's called (the name slips my mind).
Oh, and have you been to Snoqualmie Falls? That's another one of
those things that you should see at some point if you haven't already.
Other than that, I don't really know what else to suggest, because it
kinda depends on what you're into. I don't really know much about
hiking trails, but I know plenty of people who do (and you've met some
of them).
