Hi, Derek. Welcome to the group! I'm glad you decided to post
here. We all need other Christians around us to look to as examples
and for fellowship and accountability. I have a question. Do you go
to any church right now? If so, have you been unable to find people
to connect with there? And if not, I'm sure there are people in this
group who might be able to suggest some good churches where you can
connect with people. In fact, I visited several good ones ever since
I moved to Washington over a year ago, and I now attend Antioch Bible
Church in Kirkland which has a great young adult singles group where
I've been gradually making new friends. I believe they have a group
for people your age as well. Over in Seattle there's also University
Presbyterian Church (located right by UW) and Mars Hill Church in
Ballard, both great churches with lots of college-aged people.

In any case, I hope you'll continue to post here. Feel free to post
any questions on your mind, and hopefully some people here can
provide insights and/or relate to what you're talking about. I
created this group for two main reasons: 1. to get people connected
with other single Christians in the Puget Sound area, 2. to provide
a format for people to communicate with other Christians that may be
easier than communicating in typical real-life settings.

And just to introduce myself, my name is Wayne, I'm 32, work for
Microsoft, I've been a Christian since high school, and I'm
originally from southern California and moved to Bellevue in June
2002. (And actually, I'm on vacation in southern California right
now!) Thanks again for checking out this group! I'll be praying
that your needs will be met one way or another.
