I purchased a bunch of these at the local radio rally on Sunday and I think they
are some kind of modem. Maybe it is AFSK.

The board contains two RS232 level converters an Atmel microcontroller and what
looks like a voltage dropper.

The Ics are:
ADM202EARN x2 - RS232 level converters

AD654
JR0451
579214.1 - Voltage to Freq?

404
13765 - Step down switching regulator - The ic and within the dotted line were
contained within a metal box.

AT89C51ED2 - Atmel microcontroller

35B(?)
Z435 - Made by ST micros. Looks like a DC-DC converter?

HCT244 - buffer

The board has a 15 pin high density D-SUB connector (VGA style connector) and a
3.5mm jack socket.

As you can see by the photos the case is of strong construction.

for what it will cost you to build a cable with time and aggravation and parts
you can buy one from "MulTec comunications"
at this address: http://www.rfwiz.com/ and be stress free. i did and will
never try to build another one(I hate modular connectors)

My 2011's work great!!

Normally just writing a good C/P back into the radio should fix the fail code.

Hi,
I have been asked to look at a couple of what I think are Team Simoco handheld
radios.
Does anyone have any information on possible frequency band and means of
programming.
I think they were originally used somewhere on a railway.

Many thanks

Thanks, I did try that (many times) and it won't take the good codeplug, it
still tells me the radio has been inhibited by dispatch, which I know it hasn't.
I assume the corrupt data must be in just the right place in the codeplug to
make it think that. I've never seen this before.

I assume I need depot software to uninhibit it now, but the ? is where do I get
that?
