The dist 3040 of rotary came into existence on 1 july 1984. It covers the area of Panchamhal(Guj)and M.P.'s Jhabua,Indore,Ratlam,Mandsaur,Ujjain,Dewas,Shajapur,sehore,Bhopal,Vidisha,Sagar,Dhar,Betul,Hoshangabad,Raisen,Chindwara,Khandwa& Khargone dist.
