Schwarzenegger Endorses Gay Pride Events



Governor Schwarzenegger, in anticipation of upcoming events to celebrate Gay
Pride, issued a proclamation supporting the festivities of gays, lesbians,
bisexuals and transgenders throughout the state.

"California is proud to host events that celebrate diversity and support
active civic participation," said Schwarzenegger. He extended "warm
greetings" to participants and applauded them for defending "America's
democratic ideals."

Governor Schwarzenegger's Gay Pride proclamation demonstrates the open door
he extends to the lesbian, bi-sexual, and gay community. When it comes to
the human values of family and faith, Arnold reaches out to all of
California to heal our differences and grant equal rights to everyone .

"We are pleased that Schwarzenegger has jumped on the equal-rights for gays
bandwagon.
It is significant that the Governor cares deeply about our families and
rights for the future generations."
