This group is for discussion of all aspects of the life and times of the Non-commissioned officer of the British Army during the American War for Independence. Clothing, equipment, training, food, song, drink, politics, religion. Anything goes, as long as it touches on the life of the backbone of the Army - the Serjeant.

This list is by Serjeants, for Serjeants. Corporals are encouraged to join in and participate. Privates may look and learn. Officers can come in and look over our shoulders - but - the main thrust of discussion will be on subjects dear to those of us who have ascended to the ease and dignity of the Halberd.

Membership is open to all Crown forces NCO's. You do not need to belong to any particular parent organization.
