Has anyone done anything using this seal? Just curious. I once
painted the Holy names onto a staff I custom made for a client. He
then would take the staff and chant the names and then invoke the
power for whatever it was he wanted to use it for.

Just curious to see if anyone else used this seal and what they used

Does anyone have a spell for banishing demons?It has made its'
presence known by leaving footprints(before we saw the prints,another
person felt it run across the bed,thats where we saw the prints).The
prints were animal like but what kind we dont know. Any info will be

First off I would like to say hello to Dr. Mojo and all other members
of this group.  To start off, a brief intro., I have just started
to "learn" hoodoo, rather haphazardly, for the last year. I have done
a few psalms with candles, and seals, with varying effects. A lot of
questions coming up, any help will be greatly appreciated. What is
magic? I have read some say its within and that tools we use are just
physical manifestations of necessary energies needed to make our
wishes true but if so, why can't I meditate and get the same effect.
Who decided what oil, and what color candle, and what herb has this
purpose  and how? How does the different phases of the moon work with
hoodoo? I know different phases have different meanings, how long
does each phase last for, when is it at its strongest? How can I gain
more power, prophetic dreams, etc. I tried using a seal, but it
didn't work...do I have to do it more than once? I anointed the
candle, wrote my wish on the back of the seal which I bought from a
store (the seal was in red writing) yet I still haven't got that
dream I was suppose to get. If someone would be willing to be my
mentor who is knowledgeable about this stuff, I would greatly
appreciate, even if you just pointed out the right books. I am really
interested and I don't want to just poke around cuz this is no
playing thing. Can I make spells...I need one for winning
scholarships so I can enter university and finding lovers? How much
participation do I need for a spell to work...like if i did a spell
for a job, i wouldn;t sleep all night and day, expecting a job to
land on my lap , magic doesn't work like that, does it? Can magic
physically manifest on the human body, make one taller,shorter.
Help??!!!!

    I am interested in what Americaan Churches used the 6th & 7th Books
of Moses? I do know that some Anabaptist (Mennonite, Brethren) groups
did. Does anyone know if the Mormons did? Or any specific Calvinist

D.U.M.E. Black Candle Burning Question-Please Reply ASAP-5 Days Left

Greetings;

I just purchased a "D.U.M.E." Death Unto My Enemies Black Candle In a
Glass Container and had it "dressed" in the Botanica...I have a
couple of questions:

1. What are good prayers/Psalms to incantate while it burns down?

2. I wrote the names of 9 enemies on the back of it...what else will
expedite the ritual...or must I be patient???

3. Is it neccesary to leave it on the steps of the Enemy after it
burns down or is it safe to leave it in my own house on my own altar?

I am a neophyte, that is why I am asking...Please reply ASAP, the
candle only lasts for 120 hours (5 days)...

Please hurry with responses, I am in need of specific prayers to
recite...my Grandmothers are deceased and I have no one else to ask
in confidence,

                 Same  for me, but if you read the achieves, this person(s)
who started this group  seems to be seeking information on this
pseudo-Kabballistic book and doesn't  really have anything to input.  I don't
mean that bad,
because I have  started many e-lists in hopes of helping me search an occult
topic.
             I joined the list to learn if Pow-Wow practitioners  used the
balance of the book or just the Psalms.  I know Hoodoo  practitioners can buy
the
seals that come in a little black bag for ritual  use.
             Most Kabballists do not take this book  seriously, actually many
researched Hoodoo workers do not either.  However,  I think that all books
like the Holy Bible are not Holy Writs per se, as much as  a culmination or
repository of how much energy has gone into  them.

Not much movement has been registered on this list for quite some
time now.  However, I have just finished going through all the
archives - which thankfully, were not intimidatingly vast - and I
found quite a few interesting posts.  The posts by Doctor Mojo, who
I believe is the founder of this group [and whom I have tried to
contact offlist, but fruitlessly], were particularly inspiring and
have sparked my enthusiasm to do some more research about these two
grimoires that I had dismissed way too hastily as being puerile and
next to useless.

The original plan for this group seems to have been going through
the seals one by one and discussing their uses.  However, that seems
to have been followed through only for the first two seals.

Besides discussions of the first two seals, I also find discussions
of the following topics interesting: ancestors, ethics and scrying
as applied to the seals.

Since there is still a number of members here, and some have shown
regret at the fact that not much has been going on here, it might be
helpful to try and spark off discussions about various topics of
interest, preferably directly linked to the Sixth and Seventh Books
of Moses.

Lest I be misunderstood - I am not trying to take on a leadership
role.  I myself know very little about these grimoires, but I get
the feeling that everybody's waiting for the next person to get
things going again...

SO ... Anybody with any questions or rants to set the ball rolling?
