Alex Drill through the recess, but make sure the drill is at right angles to the internal flat, otherwise you will break the drill. John From:

A better question is using adhesive on the rubber mounts We have had better results doing the opposite We put a moly grease on the rubber and washers so it

Drilling safety wire hole on engine mount bolts?
Hi Scott, Re the safety wire you mention below. The bolts don't come with a hole for safety wire. The bulletin and the supplier here says to drill a 1.5 to 2mm

Alex: Definitely do NOT loctite engine mount bolts. I'm pretty sure Rotax advise against it and if the mount bolts are safety wired (as they should be) there
