I have completed the coversion from 121" to 136".
I installed the Tunnel extension, extened the rails and changed out the
track. the new track has a full 1" lug and is fully studded.

So does this now make the sled a 500 Cross Country SKS?

Here is my replacement sled for the 1998 700 xc.
I am converting it to an SP with 1.25" lugged track and 192 picks.
I am not using the Position sensitive FOX as I will install the FOX
shock that is valved for me. The sledd will have all FOX shocks, 2001
low profile seat and gas tank, 15x121x1.25 track from a 2003 edge, v-
force 3 reads, slp boost bottle, and miscilanious other mods.

The track is already installed

It is an easy upgrade.

I have an extra Tunnel extension i will sell you if you decide you are going to do it.
When you extend the rail, you may as well upgrade to xtra-10, (you'd have to redrill the mounting holes)

I guess I am not sure the question.  The VES is the Exhaust valve.  The carbs are primarily the same.  I am not familarir with the O2 800, but my 01 8-- RMK and my 03 700 SKS have the same carbs.  The 01 is standard block and the 03 is a VES engine.  All of the carbs I have worked on being Mikuni, Keihen, flat slide, round slide, D slide, or ATV.  they all function primarily the same.  When ever you make adjustment be sure to check the spark plugs as you do not want to run too lean and burn the motor down.

I dont understand you comment.
You stated in a preivious e-mail "to lean it out i need to raise the needle right?"

Then you say in this e-mail "Like i was telling you i lowered the needle on my 2001 800 but that of course doesnt have VES valves"

And here is what you stated early in the chain of e-mails:  "I also have a 2001 800 LE
> My question is on the 01 i was able to change
> the heights on the needles of the carb wich made a

No where have you said anything about lowering anything.
I no longer have any advise for you other than take it to a dealer or performsace shop.
They are insured and know far more than I.
Try calling Pro-5 in Roseau, MN or Larry Rugland Motorsports in Menomonie, Wi.
