Didn't realize how much I'd miss Starman. The
last issue was so good I couldn't believe that it
truly was the final issue. I hope James considers
writing some one-shots or mini-series about Jack or the
Opalites.

Cool. I wish Starman had been around when I was younger. Of course,
I was reading about his dad & company in All Star Squadron back in
the mid-80's when I was your age. And without them we may never have
met Jack & friends.

Several reasons probably.

- The primary writers of those two characters work together.
- She is a member of the JSA & Ted looked after her.
- The original Star Spangled Kid was an interim, if you will,
Starman. I think he was at some point (either in the DCU or our
world, if not both) destined to be Ted's sucessor.

I really miss Jack, but I can honestly say I was happy how it all
wrapped up. I am so glad they got to finish the stories they
wanted. At least in part you could see that some of these plotlines
were planned from the very beggining.

I just did a little bit of inventory the other night and I found
that I have every issue of the ongoing series (albeit many of them
are in TPB form) except for Starman #69. Does anyone have the issue
and is willing to sell it?

E-Mail me at drmcnugget@... or post a message back here.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry Dr McNugget, I do not have that one. I do have
64, 40, and 44. As well as a handful of the previous
Starman series.

I was just doing an inventory of sorts myself. Has
anyone done an index of all the Starmen?

I have the 1st Issue Special. Did Mikal appear
anywhere else before Jack found him?

I picked up my first Gavyn issue the other day.
According to my old Overstreet guide it looks like he
was in Adventure 467-478 (interestingly, the issues
immediately following the JSAs run). Anywhere else
(besides Crisis)?

The letters page of Wills final issue mentions a team
book, not intended to be a new JSA, that they
proposed. This never happened did it? Did he appear
anywhere after this?

I don't have any Starboy stuff. And I am not at all
interested in trying to follow any legion books. Can
anyone recommed any issues that he might have been a
central figure in?

Sean

There's something stuck in my head, but I don't know if it's a memory
or just an old idea. Was there a real Jack Knight/Starman leather
jacket marketed and sold for the comic. I know there was the badge,
the henley shirt and various T-shirts, but I thought there might be
an actual leather jacket. Figure it might be easier and cheaper to
just have one made, though.

#4 – Stargirl: Johns/Goyer, Mike McKone; James Robinson, Tony
Harris

James and Tony doing a backup story. With this quote from Jamesat
the end:
"It's only 8-pages so if I say too much,I'll reveal the whole thing,"
said Robison of his issue #4 back-up with former Starman partner Tony
Haris. "However, it deals with Ted Knight's 1940s FBI involvement,
which is a big part of his golden age stories and something I never
touched on in the modern day Starman."

Did anybody else catch The Shade in the two latest issues of Green
Arrow? Surprising and surprisingly entertaining. Just when I
thought I've totally sworn off superheroes, a story reminds me of how
much I used to love them. Good stuff by new writer, bestselling
author Brad Meltzer.

Hay Gang! Yep its that time of the month again! Another cool issue
of Greats of the Golden Age of Comics will be up and running on
November 2nd in the early evening. My good buddy and partner Darrin
Wiltshire is under the weather and couldn't get this months issue up
and posted until tomorrow so I am sure you will excuse us for being
tardy this month. Due to bandwidth limitation problems that we
encountered last month we are thinking of starting a Yahoo Group
just as a backup for the "Current" issue of Greats of the Golden
Age, just in case we have that problem again. I guess its a case of
being too popular. This month you will again be treated to three
more gorgeous stories from that past age known as the Golden Age of
comics, plus an overview on the Centaur line of Comics. We hope that
you will enjoy this issue. In addition to that we have also started
a Discussion Forum, linked to our home page and to our top two web
sites, and we invite you to join in the fun. We are posting a story
a month that hasn't been seen on either our Greats CD Reprint
titles, or on the Greats of the Golden Age site itself. Also there
is some more cool jpegs of stuff you may have not ever seen. Take a
look and check it out by joining up. Darrin and myself go there
frequently to chat and respond to your missives. Use the place and
see if we can get some Golden Age excitement going! Too cool eh?
GOTO: http://www.pr-publications.com and see what the fuss is all
about! Take care and God Bless you all.

first part (of two) of the overview/beta article on Harry "A"
Chesler and his Dynamic Publications for you to read. Also we have
added a new section to Greats, called "TimeLines" and we hope you
will take a look at it and all that is there in issue # 14 and let
us know what you think of it. Take care and God Bless and Happy
Holidays to all you very cool and informative people here at the

the info and discussions you have had here. Another big thanks for
all the help that some of you have given me this year! You guys and
gals are great! One last thing, if some of you are not aware we now
have a discussion forum on our various web-sites, where we chat and
share info on all things comic related, as well as movie serials,
