Welcome to all of you who have attended (or are thinking about attending) the annual fall murder mystery produced by Suspicious Acts at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan. If you have questions for the writers who create the story or the actors who stage and present the event, or if you would like to swap stories or information with those who have attended this special weekend, this is the place.
We will be posting information on next year's mystery (such as the year in which the story will take place), as it evolves, as well as our "how to dress (for the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s)" pieces and suggestions for celebrity identities.
We are hoping that those of you who have attended will post advice on travel routes that have worked well for you, vintage clothing sources, hangover remedies, conflict resolution techniques (for those team meetings), or just memorable tales from your life as a detective at Grand Hotel.
If you are planning to come to the Grand Hotel Murder Mystery Weekend for the first time, we can give you a glimpse into how the weekend proceeds and tips on travel, ferry schedules, modes of dress (vintage costume is not required but it's a lot of fun), etc.
And if you have been deputized by Lt. Reilly once, or twice, or many times . . . don't be a stranger, post something, even if it's just to say hello.
On behalf of the Suspicious Acts gang (who are all looking forward to the next murder mystery at the Grand), welcome to the group.
