Sydney Jain Mandal(SJM) is a non-profit socio-religious group that
represents Jain community in Sydney. SJM provides a social platform to all people who believe in principle of Jain religion. SJM was established
to raise the awareness of Jain religion among the younger generation of
Jain families living in Sydney & Australia. SJM provides a place where Jain
families can come together to celebrate Jain festivals without any bias or
prejudice to any particular sects in Jain community. SJM conducts regular
monthly bhajan program where all families performs a joint bhajan program
as well as discuss about Jain religion.

Jain community in Sydney has installed idol of Mahavir Bhagwan and
Parasnath Bhagawan at a Hindu temple (Sri Mandirji in Auburn). The idols were installed in a well attended program under the guidance of Bhatarak ji from India.

Some of the key objectives of Sydney Jain Mandal are :

provide an opportunity for jain families to celebrate Jain festivals
collectively in Sydney
raise the awareness & knowledge about jain religion among the younger
generation in Jain families
increase the understanding of jain principles among people in Sydney
arrange visits of Jain scholars from India to increase understanding of
Jain religion
provide a social group that can provide social & moral support to new
Jain families in Sydney

SJM is run & managed by volunteers from the community with special emphasis
on involvement from all.

Monthly bhajan program is conducted on last Sunday of the month at Sri
Mandir, Auburn in Sydney. For exact dates for pooja, please visit SJM
website at www.sydneyjainmandal.com. Every year, traditional pooja is
performed in the temple on Mahavir Jayanti and Mahavir Nirwan. Details of
