I never knew this club was out here. I have been
collecting and custmizing farm toys for years, mostly the
good ones,IH. That will ruffle some feather for a
first timers posting! But anyway glad the know of the
site, and look forward to keeping an eye on it. Jason

I'm glad to find a club with my same interests. I've been collecting 1/64 for a
few years now and a couple years ago started customizing. I'm not picky on
make, I like em all. Let's have some fun.
I want to find out if anyone knows were I can get
some information on a particular tractor. I have an
IH, I believe it's a 966, that was given to me in
74/75. It has a straight front axle, steel stack, and
did have a hook on the rear. I'd appreciate any
feedback.
Ertl never made a 966 with a metal stack.
Although they did have a metal stack on the 06, 56and I
think the 26 series.Somevations are does it have a cab,
what color? Solid mounted front axle, doesn't pivot?
Duals? The matal stack was actually the air precleaner,
they all had a rubber muffler. Having trouble with
computer on my spelling but this give you an idea. Let me
know and I'll try to help you. J5703@...
I think the model you are talking about is the
1/64 1466. Solid axel, White cab, metal stack. hook
hitch like the Deere "Sound Gaurd" and 1/64 Massey of
the time. If have the IH and Deere. Our local IH
dealer gave mine to me in 1981. It was just sitting on
the counter and a nice gentleman handed down to me (
I was five) and he said I could have it. That is
one of fun memories of collecting. Today depending on
the condtion you could expect $30 in bad shape to
$100 NIB. That is what I see at the shows.<br><br>Ertl
also offered a 1/24? size plastic kit model and a 1/16
1466 white cab model with duals. There was also a 1/16
cabless 1066. Ofcourse in 1990/91/92 Ertl released all
the 66/68 series in 1/16 and about 9 sets of 4
tractors with different options in
1/64.<br><br>J.Hasert<br><a href=http://www.toytractorshow.com/

The IH 1/16 1466 was made in 1972 and came in two
styles of boxes and the 1/25 plastic model was released
in 1974.<br><br>The MF is probably an 1105 or an
1155. I am not up on MF toys as I only have a few in my
collection. The 1105 was an early 1970's and the 1155 was
1975 on so the 1/64 would have been made at that time.
It is probably the most rare of the three hooks
followed by the IH and the most common being the Deere.
Ertl had a Replica Poster that featured these models
around 1985.

I purchased the 1/32 John Deere 8400 Percision
model over the weekend. Very nice toy. This is the
second Percision toy I have added to my collection. I
like the removeable front suitcase weights and engine
pannels. I think I got a pretty good deal on it, $55. Some
questions I have though are:<br>1. Is the smoke stack
removeable on this model? On one I have the smoke stack was
packed with the front weights but looked like it had
come off the tractor. I put it back on and its sits in
fine. <br><br>2. The box pictures side view mirrors on
the toy. The model I have has tiny holes on the roof
but no mirrors were included. <br><br>3. I have the
Model A #1 which also included a little booklet on the
model but one was included on the 8400. <br><br>Is this
model ship shape? If not any ideas where I might locate
the missing
items.<br><br>Jay<br><a href=http://www.toytractorshow.com

I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips
on how to repaint 1/64th scale trucks. Can i use
spray paint or do i need an airbrush, how or do i need
to take out the pins that hold the body to the
wheels,
ect.<br><br>Thanks,<br>John<br>Airborn00@...
Hi everyone. I started a new club for people to
show off their displays and talk. The problem is Yahoo
won't let me in to post. If anyone joins and has the
same problem, let me know so I can get on Yahoos case.
Thanks everyone.
I just wanted to share my home page with
everyone. I am still working on it but it has a chat
section, a toy poll, lots of toy and real tractor info.
