An annex for housing our discussions of knitted and crocheted projects. This is also the place to post your photos of completed projects and pictures of items you think the rest of us would like to make. Since our main barracks photo albums are filling up, some other photos may also find a home here from time to time.
Here is where you can come to get the advice of experienced handwork people who will be able to help you with your projects.
Come in, be comfortable. We are supporters of our US Armed Forces in winter we send them warm WOOL hats, neck and ear warmers, slipper boots, etc. as well as homemade reusable hand/pocket warmers. We send cooling ties in the summer and that's why we call it The Hugs Project...they go around their necks like a "hug from home".
Our front page photo shows K@ren with just a portion of the warm hats the OKC group completed over last summer then sent over for the troops and also the children of the Middle East. If you crochet, knit, loom, if you have knitting machine skills, or if you make other hand-made items, won't you please join us?
Even though it's now over 100 degrees, they will soon be facing another winter of below freezing temperatures and will need black WOOL hats, neck warmers, fingerless gloves and balaclavas.
If you love our young military members and appreciate them for their service and their sacrifice, please join us and let them know they are not forgotten.
