Hey everyone. Seems dead around here, so I
thought I'd just post some random thoughts.

So
far I've listened to only the first 25% of Tuesday's
show, but I've really enjoyed it. I'd buy Mischke's
book for $12.95 any day (not sure if I can afford the
$140,000.00 shipping and handling though!)

What could
get me more excited than a CD with an entire Mischke
show, along with 50 of Mischke's best bits throughout
the last 2 1/2 years? How about a CD with TWO entire
Mischke broadcasts, and 100 of Mischke's best bits
throughout the last 5 years?!? (Thanks, Derek! I love the
photos in the jewel case, too.)

Did anyone enjoy
the all-snow show? When he first began trying to
promote it last week, I thought it would just be him
talking about snow for 2 hours. That might have been
entertaining. When it turned out to be filled with snow-guests,
it was mildly interesting but not entertaining.

Okay, bye everyone. And don't forget that this universe
does have an end, and remember what is beyond it:
Corkboard. Corkboard.

Love, Carrie

wander.

Snow show= It's March 1st, I don't care.

Robber jobber= "Easy did it" Will he fall off the wagon?
Ten steps forward, do not pass go straight to jail,
or hell depending on who is reading.)

Mischke dishke= potluck minus boredom

Corkboard=

not too humorous, but informative and i liked it.

Hi everyone. Just feeling rather lonely so I
thought I'd write. I miss bantering back and forth with
you guys on a regular basis. Sigh.

I never
responded yer guyzes advice on how to get Mischke down off
that pedestal in my warped, fragile little mind.
Although it's tempting, I don't think I will invite him
out to eat anytime soon. I don't think he would take
me up on the offer, and I think I would be nervous
as all fuck if he did. If I ever meet him, I want
other people to be with me!

I guess maybe the
real problem is that he seems to be the kind of person
that I *wish* I already was. It's frustrating. If I'm
even a percentage of he is when I get to 38-or-39,
then I'll have to be delighted with myself. (I still
think he's hot, though.)

Hummmmmmmmm,,,,,well.
Maybe i should go. But I'm not ready to yet. You know,
Barbie Dolls, and other similar dolls, make me very
angry. I'd say at least 9 out of 10 of dolls that are
supposed to be women have feet that are contorted to an
impossible point so they can fit into the 8-inch stiletto
heels that men love so much. That just makes me sick.
And Barbie has all the best clothes. It's so not
fair.

Okay, I will be going now. Please respond.

Love,
Carrie "'Fearless' Leader" Dahlby

aw, shoot. i knew i was missing a good broadcast
thursday night. i could hear mischke being so... mischke
in the background, but i was getting calls from
friends, and needing to deal with important stuff (more
important than listening to mischke?!?!?!?!) that night. of
course, then friday night, forgetting about stupid,
stupid hockey, i am in my car, settled in, thinking,
"it's mischke time". i love the anticipation. turn on
the radio. ARGHHH!!! oh, man....

Fear not all, the dreaded hockey season is almost
over. I'm not much of a fan and especially not of the
gophers. All they are is an annoyance that takes Tommy off
the air way too much. Of course, Tommy probaby loves
them though. Makes for a lot of nice four day weeks
for him. He enjoys doing the show, but who wouldn't
enjoy a three day weekend EVERY week for many many
weeks?! Yowsa.

We should be thankful though.
Before the Excel Center was finished and the Minnesota
Wild started playing, there was talk of KSTP
broadcasting all the games. They were bidding on the rights to
do so. If that came through, I think we would have
completely lost Mischke. I'm kind of surprised they were
looking at booting him, but this may have all come about
when Tommy was depressed and management might have
been a little afraid that Tommy wouldn't be too
reliable in the future...

-----------Derek

gotta say i did enjoy the show tonight. i did
feel kinda sad when mischke said he didnt want to be
here tonight and that kinda put a damper on the show
for a bit. but there were some wonderful parts and
they wiped away any sad residue.

during the
show i got to thinking of a few questions to pose you
long time listeners. since ive only been listening
since last october, id like some insight if anyone has
it:

how long has kodiac been around?
what was the
extent of mischkes depression?
and
does mischke
ever talk about his wife alot?

: )

a warning to all:
thankfully kstp was outbid
for the rights to wild hockey, it has been reported
by Charley Walters in the Pioneer Press however that
kstp will make a major push to purchase the broadcast
rights to gophers basketball and football, all football
games are played on saturday so that wouldnt affect the
show much. Basketball would play about thirty games
during weeknights and that would mean thirty less
Mischke shows. THAT WOULD SUCK

Perhaps some of you didn't even miss me, but I
seem to have beaten down the demons which plagued my
computer...all thanks to some patience, a slow CD burner, and
the miracle of bootlegged software. The Compaq is
running again with Win98 and I'm going to be doing some
major updating to my website after I take my assistant
manager's certification test (Thursday, if I can get away
with it). Anyway, that's a roundabout way of saying
that I'm going to try and check in on the group a
little more regularly. OK?

I don't think I've ever heard him mention his
wife's name on the radio, but I'm sure he has. He seems
very protective of his family's privacy, which is
pretty understandable. I do know that he mentioned that
his stepson worked for (or maybe even STILL works
for) Arby's. Sure, a person with "connections" at
Arby's could get his son's employment info, address, and
telephone number **if they really wanted to**....but it
would be WRONG. I'd never do that, ever. Besides, I'm
scared to death to call Mischke on the AIR....no way in
hell would I ever call him at home.

Hey everyone. I know some of you expressed
interest in attending my Concerto Aria concert, so now
that it's much closer, I'll announce it again. It's
Thursday, March 15th, 7pm, at Augsburg College, in the
Hoversten Chapel, free admission (I think). I will be all
snazzed up in a formal dress and I'll be singing the aria
"Che faro senza Euridice" from _Orfeo ed Euridice_ by
Gluck. There are also two other singers singing their
arias, and three instrumentalists. We have the Augsburg
College Orchestra to accompany us. If any of you think
you will be going, please let me know ahead of
time!

drowningbluestars: Hey, I just want you to know I haven't forgotten
about you...or the time when I told you I would send
you a tape with Mischke doing funny stuff over the
commercial break. But ever since Smiteboy started all this
Mp3 business, it may be easier to just send you some
mp3s of Mischke performing amusing antics over the
commercial break and alienating sponsers. The commercial
break at 8:30 last night would be the perfect example.
Do you have the same "bottom of the hour news" that
we have, or does someone local come on and read
their news?

Carol: I am glad that you're not in
a funk anymore. :o) {{{hugs}}} Spring is on its
way...and it's going to be a glorious one. Last spring was
not that much fun, because there wasn't the total
transformation and the day-after-day of snow melting and rushing
into the gutters like there will be this
year.

Okay, bye everyone.
Love, Carrie

Hey tlm/t1m,

You don't even have the
bottom of the hour news? Wow, you probably completely
missed the best part of Monday's show. As soon as I
figure out how to lift that section out of the entire
show and make a new file out of it and e-mail it to
you, i'll do that. It might not work to e-mail it you
at yahoo, though. Derek tried to e-mail me some
soundfiles at my yahoo account and it didn't
work.

Anyways, so here I am, terribly sick with a cold....sigh
:o( I'm supposed to be at school right now but here I
am. I'd better get better before the concert or
else....

By the way, somebody gave me a stuffed cat for
Valentine's Day. I named the stuff cat "Tommy" (for no
particular reason) ;o)

Later everyone,
Love,

Carrie is right--the commercials can be some of
the most entertaining parts of the show! I already
have the section that Carrie is talking about saved as

is pretty big. I mean, I think it is three or four
megabytes or so!

Plus, you have a yahoo account?? I
don't know if it will allow you to receive a file that
big. I won't be able to do it until next week sometime
