Have you ever had a salesperson try to sell you something at your front door?
Often times we don't want to tell them "no", so we will tell them to come back
later when our spouse is home. Guess what! Since we told the salesperson
"maybe", he or she will come back that same night to make the sell. Salespeople
are persistent. Likewise, if we say "maybe" to sin and to the Devil, then he
will keep coming back until we say no. To resist sin and the Devil, we must say
a firm "NO" and shut the door. The ugly one is already defeated. He loves
Christians! Not the heathen! Which one is the RIGHT and ULTIMATE WEAPON to
defeat Satan?

Defeat him by the Word of God (Bible Reading MUST)

Plead the Blood of Jesus Christ

Rebuke him in the name of Jesus

Bind and loose every satanic strongholds

Fasting

Filled with the Holy Spirit (Tongues)

Put on the full armor of God (Eph6:11-18)

More fervent in our prayers

Works well thro' Intercessory (group) prayers

Seeking assistance from a mighty man of God

Ignoring Satan is the best way of defeating him

Do the sign of the cross and sprinkle HOLY water

Anoint your house with oil

Ask Angels to assist us in our warfare

Take a strong stand against him (Aggressive/Bold)

Recognize his strategies and resist Him

Scream at him until we have no voice left

Divert our mind into constructive activities

Focus on morality and practice self-control

Listen to warnings and think of consequences

Destined to reign in Recession - Jesus is alive
Testimony from Yakub
04th June 2008, 11.30 am
I was walking on the River Thames pathway in London with a broken heart as I
did'nt had a Job in Banking because of Recession and credit crunch. People
around me were so busy they were walking all around. All of a sudden something
strange happened to me. Fear gripped my heart as never before. Thoughts came
where all my family and friends are thousands mile away back in India and I am
all alone in the city of London. When this fear came, All of sudden something
happened too. I began to see pictures in mind of me accepting the Lord at the
age of 12 and Step by Step how God prospered me in every area. When I saw that,
I said ''That’s it''. I began to talk boldly to myself. I said to the Lord I
am not going to worry anymore but rather I want to thank you for all the good
things what you have done in my life so far. I said to the Lord even if I get
back to India as a failure, I will still praise his Holy name. I started singing
songs loudly like ''Great is
thy Faithfulness'' and '' You are my hiding place''. God heard my praise. When I
did that Immediately the Presence of God hit me in that place. I felt someone
hugging me tight and comforting me that everything is going to be all right.
Tears where gushing in my eyes. I couldn't control myself. There was a sense of
great peace in me. Honestly I am unable to explain how I felt but It was a
marvellous experience. I couldn't control myself so I sat on the bench that was
beside the river and I was thanking and praising God. 12.30 PM I came home and I
slept on my Bed as i was feeling tired.

God showed up and began to work. Begining from the same day of that evening I
received 6 offers as a permanent employee from worlds biggest banks. Today I
work for one of the Worlds biggest Bank in London and I am placed next to London
stock exchange. Highly Blessed and highly favoured by God.

God's people are bound to prosper in famine and thats Bible.
Please feel free to visit my Blog http://yakubalbert.blogspot.com/ to read my
entire story
God Bless u :)

The most important part of your wedding day is your marriage ceremony.

Dear Father in Heaven, As we come before your throne, with our offering of love,
we ask you to bless our union of marriage. We pray that you will be the third
strand that binds us together and cannot be broken. May You be the guiding light
shining on this chosen path of lifelong commitment to each other and You. In
Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen

Dear Father in Heaven, All honor and glory be to the one and only living God. In
response to Your commands, we come before you to be united as one in our vow of
marriage. May your guiding hand be upon our life as we join our hearts, minds,
and bodies as one. May our marriage continue to blossom and grow into the plans
you have prepared for us. May we focus on Christ as the center of our love. In
His Name. Amen.

To the One and Only Living God We praise you and magnify You through the love
you have given us for each other. May your Holy Love flow through us and become
an inheritance for our children and children’s children. We ask you to
sanctify us and keep us centered upon Your desires. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Our Father, We beseech You, Oh Lord, to be our strength and refreshment for the
journey we are beginning through this marriage. As we travel down the road, may
we never veer to the left nor to the right. May we rejoice in the good times and
thank you in the times of trials, as we know they are for our maturity and
growth. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thoughts from II Timothy 3......Signs of last days

Delighted to meet you again through the below thoughts from third chapter of II
Timothy. Hoping that you would find it useful. The following list may be used
for self examination as well.

Last days started with the resurrection of Jesus Christ and outpouring of the
Holy Spirit (in the day of Pentecost) on the body of Lord Jesus Christ and would
continue till the second coming of Christ. The matured Christian leader and
faithful follower of Christ, Paul lists the following signs as marks of the end
times

1. People will be lovers of themselves: The very purpose of family, friend,
neighbors and society is to express love. Unfortunately, we are becoming more
selfish and at times we choose convenience and comforts at the cost of others'
discomfort and inconvenience. Are you selfish? Are you enjoying better life at
the cost of others' problems and sorrows?

2.Lovers of Money : In the world we live, we are valued by the name, fame and
money we have. At times to be better valued by the worldly system, we sacrifice
our health, Character , family and friends to earn more money and fame. Are you
directed and dictated by the love for money?

3. Boastful: We have in us a inbuilt feature that expects praise, respect and
appreciations. We impress by what we express. In order to impress and influence
others we boast about our being and doing, All the boasting (including Spiritual
ones) comes from Devil and self. Are you boastful?

4. Proud: Being proud is acting against God. It is co-sister of being boastful.
Proud makes us to think that we are some one great and superior, taking credit
for what we have done not realizing the grace of God and the direct or indirect
helps from others. Biblical principle is Blessed are the poor in Spirit. God
resists proud. Proud blocks us from God and Others. Are you proud?

5. Abusive: Do you abuse the life, health, opportunities, relationships etc?

6. Disobedient to their parents: As a dependent, do you disobey parents?

7.Ungrateful: We tend to forget those who helped us along the way. Are you
ungrateful to anyone?

8. Unholy: God called and chose us to live holy life in this unholy world. Are
you living up to the expectations of one who called you?

9. Loveless: God's will concerning us is that we have to love our God with full
heart, mind and Soul and to love fellow human beings. Do you demonstrate your
love for God and for others daily?

10. Unforgiving: Forgiveness is vital identity of Christendom. The condition for
receiving the forgiveness from God is to forgive others (refer Lord's prayer).
Unforgiving in our life will block the blessings from God. Is there anyone in
your life, whom you cannot forgive?

11.Slanderous: Everyone tend to make mistakes. We are told in Bible that Love
covers all sins. Faithful Christians pray for the failed Christians rather than
finding pleasures in broadcasting the failures and mistakes of the failed ones.
Do you slander or Gossip?

12. Without self control: Even though we live in diverse adverse conditions that
arrest our spiritual growth, the spirit of God empowers us to win against the
lust of flesh, love of the world and the pride of life. We are expected to put
best efforts to guard our faith and holy life. Do you practice self control?

13. Lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God. What do you choose- God or
World?

14. Having the form of Godliness but denying its power. Do you practice
hypocrisy?

15. Being conceited, rash, brutal and not being lovers of good. Are you gentle
and good?

Subject: How to Get Closer to God
tamilianponnu
Offline Offline
Send Email Send Email

Steps: Pray:
Though this may seem obvious, pray twice or more a day to God. It doesn't have
to be anything fancy, just try to address everything big in your life. Confess
your sins to Him, pray for all your problems in your life right now, and other
stuff that is really important to you. You can try making a prayer journal if
you aren't comfortable with praying. Imagine God is always right next to you,
(He is always with you) almost like a really close friend. If you do this,
you'll probably find yourself talking to God more. This automatically brings you
closer to him. You will really benefit by worshiping God and seeking to be
filled with the Holy Spirit. Talk to and try asking your youth leader questions
you have, or better yet, a priest or pastor.Take notes in church!!! This helps
tremendously and later on, you can review them and figure out how to apply
principles to your own life. Participate in church. Singing in church, and doing
the actions you're supposed
to do (bow your head, stand up, sit down, etc.) is not enough. Volunteer as
much as you can, help others, etc., and be blessed. The best way is to be honest
in your thought, feeling, action. God is purer than any person, so the more you
are pure, the more, not only you, but God will touch your heart and fulfill your
deepest desires.

Tips Try not to get angry. When people get angry they seem to lose faith in God.
But if you do get angry, try and calm yourself down. "Be angry, but do not sin.
Do not allow the sun to set on your anger." Get over it that day. Whenever you
have a problem, ask God to help you. He may not solve it the way you want, but
you will probably be happy with the results. You don't have to become a priest
or pastor if you want to be really close to God. You can do it through prayer
and trusting in God even as a child. Try your best to get closer to God. It
can't be something like you just want to get into heaven or get whatever reward,
but it has to be something that you WORK at. It's not easy, but the rewards are
real and are amazing.. When you do bless others in real ways then you will
receive "blessings" that you can not contain. Your "cup" will overflow to bless
others even more.. Always thank, praise and glorify God regardless of anything
good or bad in your
  life.

Warnings "Pride leads to a fall and a haughty spirit to destruction! " the bible
states. "When did we see you hungry and not feed you, and when did we see you
naked and not clothe you?" they will ask. I will tell them "Whatever you do to
one of the least of these my children you do to me!" Jesus will say at the
judgment. False humility means that you are proud of your humility and of your
achievements without rightly praising God and others.

God has given us different and unique talent to use them for His glory, but we
often neglected them! He who buries his talent is making a grave mistake. In*
Parable of the Talent*, The first servant was given 5 talents! The second
servant was given 2 talents and the third servant was given 1 talent! The Master
gave them the amount which he felt they were capable of handling...........but
then in Matthew 25:28 -----> 'Take the talent from him and give it to the one
who has the ten talents. 29For everyone who has will be given more, and he will
have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from
him. 30And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there
will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' <---- Usually people around us can
recognize those talents. What are your talents?

Thoughts on II Timothy 2nd Chapter

More often we tend to rely on our strength and efforts to live a life pleasing
God but Timothy was advised by Paul to be strong in the Lord (trusting
completely in Christ an His power for our needs including spiritual ones). Our
Christian growth is dependent on how much we trust and obey Him.

Everywhere we observe the lack of potential second line leaders in the body of
Christ. Timothy was specifically instructed to raise disciples who will in turn
make disciples. Our strategy should not stop with evangelism but has to contain
plans for making disciples in every caste, creed, Colour, tribe and nations. An
instruction for us as well?

Enduring hardships in Christian living is vital. When we decide to become a
disciple of Christian, we enroll ourselves as soldiers for Christ. We are
expected to endure hardships like a good soldier, an athlete, and a hard working
farmer. Endurance is a significant character for a any growing Christian.
Christian lives and grow well in adverse and unfavorable conditions. When we
rely on human thoughts and nature, we tend to give up when faced with issues and
problems, challenging the plain teaching and principles of the written word of
God. Problems, failures and Losses at time shocks and shakes us in the faith.
Jesus God in flesh (Being a descendant of David shows His human aspect and
resurrection from the death confirms His Divine aspect). Like Paul by trusting
God consistently and continually, we can fight a good fight. If we choose to
endure hardships in our life we can be assured that we will reign with Him.
We are advised to avoid all types of quarrels and godless chatters (including
foolish arguments) as they promote ungodliness, hatred and divisions. A servant
of God must not quarrel but to be kind to every one able to teach and solve
problems.

A follower/servant of God has to put their best to present him(her)self as one
who is approved and qualified workman of God and who correctly handles the word
of God. Vessels in a master’s house can be used for noble and ignoble purposes
but we ought to strive to be used for the noblest purposes in the domain set out
for us by Him.

Youthful lusts and Sexual temptations can infect and affect our spiritual growth
very badly. We are advised to flee from every tempting/seducing persons,
positions, privileges, places, priorities, pressures etc. to save us. After
fleeing when we give ourselves to pursue faith, righteousness, love, peace, pure
heart then we would be able to over the lust of flesh

People come into your life for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime. When you
figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have
expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a
difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically,
emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They
are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on
your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to
bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize
is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The
prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come
to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you
laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you
an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build
upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the
lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in
all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind
but friendship is clairvoyant.

Subject: Are you involved in an emotional affair?

Have you ever had the feeling someone else is really meant to be your soul mate?
That "soul mate" notion can cause a lot of damage, because once someone pledges
themselves to another in marriage before God, they essentially become soul
mates.

Christians may be more likely to engage in emotional affairs (no sex involved),
thinking that it doesn't really count as sin if there is no skin.

Listen, we have to be honest with ourselves and with God. Jesus said we can
commit adultery in our minds (Matthew 5:28); we can also commit an affair in our
hearts. Plus, an emotional affair is often just the beginning stages of a
physical one.

If you are in some type of affair now, I urge you to end it. Stop feeding that
addiction. Run quickly from sexual immorality. Change your phone number, your
email address and your daily routine if necessary to avoid him/her.

If you are not entangled in this presently, guard yourself from falling into the
trap. Be alert to slippery slopes. Don't go trolling the internet to check on
past loves. Beware confiding anything too personal, especially your marriage
woes, to members of the opposite sex - find a female friend or counselor to talk
to instead. Have an accountability partner periodically ask you how you're doing
in this area. And if you are married, invest in your marriage.

Finally, let's turn our attention to the One who is Love (1 John 4:8) and who
knows our hearts better than anyone else can. Let's draw near to Christ who is
truly our souls' mate. We can safely satisfy our hearts in His.

Dear Lord, strengthen my friends to do what is right. And help me keep pure -
mind, heart, body and soul. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

I can't tell you how many born-again, Holy Ghost-filled Christians pick their
pastor apart on Saturday night and then expect him to pray the prayer of faith
for them Sunday morning! They'll constantly make critical comments about the
evangelists and preachers that God has sent to minister to them and then wonder
why the rain of the Spirit has all but dried up in their churches. Most of those
folks would never dream of criticizing the ministry of Jesus. Yet, according to
the Word of God, that's precisely what they're doing. You see, Jesus said, "He
that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me."

I know ministers fail sometimes. I know they make mistakes. Jesus knew they
would too. But, even so, He said, "If you receive them, you receive Me."

If you think some preacher's doctrine is wrong, then pray for him. Stop sitting
under his ministry if necessary. But the Scripture says, "Who are you to judge
someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand,
for the Lord is able to make him stand" (Rom. 14:4, NIV).

The ministers of the gospel are not your servants, they're God's servants.
Whether they're right or whether they're wrong, love them and respect them if
for no other reason than to honor the One who sent them.

Learn to receive the minister of God that Jesus sends to you with the same
respect and the same honor that you would give Jesus Himself. You'll open the
door for great spiritual power to be released. You'll clear the way for God to
meet your needs. The anointing of God will be released through the man of God to
you.

Refuse to let criticism hold back the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Then get
ready to be blessed because, I guarantee, He won't hold out on you.

Two men went fishing. One was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every
time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to
keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw
it back.

The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of
seeing the man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish
you catch?" he asked.

The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying pan."

Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throwback the big plans, big dreams, big
jobs, big opportunities that God gives us. Our faith is too small.

We laugh at that fisherman who didn't figure out that all he needed was a bigger
frying pan, yet how ready are we to increase the size of our faith?

Whether it's a problem or a possibility, God will never give you anything bigger
than you can handle. That means we can confidently walk into anything God brings
our way.

You can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13.) Nothing is too big for
God.

REMEMBER:
Stop telling God you've got big problems.
Tell your problems you've got a BIG GOD!

I can remember back in the day when I used to club a lot (I wasn't always saved,
ya'll, actually I didn't get saved 'til about 18, and didn't totally commit to
God until a year later). I used to go out with my girls and if I saw a guy I
thought was cute I would sneak peeks at him and he would eventually come over
and introduce himself, and I would be so geeked on the inside because I would
feel like I've just been chosen.

As single saints, a lot of us desire to be chosen by our mates. You may have
friends who are now married off or getting married this summer and you wonder,
"When is it going to be my turn? When will I be chosen?" or you may be in a
situation where you're recently divorced so you no longer feel chosen any more,
or maybe months or even years have gone by and a man of God may not have even
approached you or expressed interest, or, for the men reading this, you may have
been rejected time and time again, so much so that you don't feel chosen either.

The word, chosen, from Webster's Dictionary, 1828 edition, means selected from a
number, picked out, taken in preference, and elected.

Even though you may not have a physical manifestation of that highly coveted
wedding ring, it doesn't mean that you haven't been chosen.

God chose you before the foundation of the world. He chose to love you, in spite
of your flaws. He chose to be with you, in spite of your imperfections. He chose
to send His Son, Jesus, to die for you even before you were born. Even while you
were yet in your mother's womb, God had you on His mind. Even before you really
came to know Him, or when you lived a life as if He wasn't even there, He still
sent His Son Jesus to die for you.

God selected you, He picked you out, He preferred you, and He elected you.

He chose to accept you as you are, and He has promised to never leave you nor
forsake you, no matter how much you miss it, or how many times you make a
mistake; He's always a forgiving God, always ready to receive you again with
open arms.

So never feel discouraged because you feel others have been chosen while you
haven't. Know that you have been chosen by God, and to be chosen by God is the
best honor and privilege there will ever be, for His love and His mercy endures
forever.

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before him in love. (Ephesians 1:4)

Read Malachi 3:6-12
Honor the Lord with your substance and with the first fruits of all your
produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty.

-Proverbs 3:910 (NRSV)
FOR years I struggled with the concept of tithing. I didn't mind putting a
little in the offering plate each Sunday, but 10 percent? I dreamed up lots of
reasons why I couldn't tithe, yet I had no trouble spending the same amount at
the mall.

Then I met Anne, a single woman who not only tithed but saved every extra dollar
for missions. Anne had a joy and a confidence in God that I envied. She didn't
have a high-paying job, yet she lived in style and within her means. One day, I
asked for her secret. "I follow God's plan and trust him," she confided. She
went on to explain that tithing isn't an obligation but a privilege and a way of
showing that we honor God. "God has never let me down, even during the hardest
of times," Anne said.

God challenged me through Anne. "Test me in this," God seemed to say. So I took
God up on it and have never looked back. God has faithfully kept the assurances
given in the Bible, and blessings flow out to me day by day. Because God is
faithful and generous, I always have enough.
