The Urban Reviews Yahoo Group was created as another avenue to get the word out on books by Black writers. We will mostly focus on African-American Fiction authors & titles, but we will explore other books that are 'Out Of The Box' as well.

Not only will the Urban Reviews Yahoo Group promote books, it will also serve as the online discussion area for group members. Although 'off topic' discussions are discouraged, we will not be censoring anything unless it is

- a blatant or malicious attack on a person or their beliefs.
- a serious misuse of message posting to promote your own interests
- a topic that is too controversial or sensitive

The focus of this group is to promote authors, books, and have a positive dialogue among book lovers. Our membership goal for 2010 is 800.

We'll post updates about changes to the Urban-Reviews.com site as well as forward promotional emails to the group that we deem appropriate for the group. Urban Reviews Yahoo and Facebook group members are also the ONLY ones eligible to win any of our montly contests that we hold for the website.

We will bring you the best in literary info & news, but YOU will ultimately dictate how strong our dialogue is. Any topic dealing with books, upcoming author signings & book events, and other related subjects are encouraged.

Authors wanting to promote their book(s) may only do so in their signature. ANY OTHER PROMOTION MUST BE LIMITED TO TWICE A MONTH!
