First of all, thank-you for being a part of this group. Vernon Cheapcycle is a place where we can receive some monetary value in exchange for items in our household that we no longer need or want. We understand that we all want as much as we can for our items, however, Cheapcycle is not necessarily the place for you to sell some items. Now, saying that doesn’t mean as long as you follow a few simple rules and considerations that you can’t attempt to sell an item on Cheapcycle.
Please, when offering an item up, list the price of the item.
All posts are maintained on the message board in the order they are received. We would appreciate that once the item is sold, that you go onto the board, select your item and delete that posting. This will do several things; one is keep the board nice and tidy, and the other is it will keep items that have not sold up near the top. There is no need to post a ‘taken’ message.
As part of this, we do not want to see multiple postings of the same item. The sole exception to this is if you have dropped the price by a minimum of 25% off the original listed price. If the item is not selling on Cheapcycle for the price you want, then I would suggest one of the other options in the Okanagan for selling.
As far as selling products that are available from a home based business (ie. Tupperware, Creative Memories, Watkins, etc) we ask that you limit those postings to once every 2 months whether they are retired or current products. Cheapcycle is not a forum for building your customer base.
